One thing i dont understand is people saying "Yes, this is good, great ones were too easy to get before" SINCE WHEN?!? Even with HM it still can take months upon months to get one. Im not against them not giving tahr drink zones but i dont understand some peoples reactions to it. Im not big into HM but seeing people saying theyre so glad ppl wont be able to grind them really makes me want to try my absolute hardest to find a way go HM these guys lol

@@HunterCash21 his initials all took a long while. Subsequent GO'S seem to spawn in a LOT more readily. Which is why he has like 8 go bears now? Im 3400 into a fallow grind, and according to statistics, im still in the "average" for one spawning. Still havent seen one yet.

I don't think i'll ever get any Great One so i don't really care. I just hope the new algorithm for Bengal Tiger will not be too buggy & they able to attack multiple players. Because i can imagine it in MP server stalking a player meanwhile another player can just come running closer & the tiger wont give a f**k..

Regardless of what people think, I’m still pumped to go after these guys. I’m gonna go for the diamonds for some of the other species before going for a great one tahr.

I mean, I am fine with tahr not having drink zones. I know it can be hard to grind them, but Jaxy said players will find a way and I am sure that we will find one. Also, maybe? EW should make tahr G1 spawning chance a little higher than all other G1 to make it a little balanced. I am sure that EW will look into our feedback and take it into consideration. Anyways, we will know the answers for all our questions for sure when we get the DLC map finally. I CANT WAIT!

I got my first GO red deer after 2000 kills. My second GO fallow deer after 200 kills. My third GO fallow deer after three random kills during search rabbit burrows. And I don't see a problem, no so no. Only those have a problem, who want a trophy in the trophy house, not do hunt.

@@Gruntly When I got first and second GO, I stopped do it. In my opinion they not worth it. It ruins the hunt. My goal was collect all the trophies (only single maps) with minimum grind. It was very harder then grind GO. Can't wait a new map.

I personally like how they switched things up with the Tahr not having drink zones. My big gripe is that they're going to ONLY be on the new map. The devs did say they hope to backfill the Tahr to New Zealand eventually but that it won't be at launch. So that means if you don't pay up for Sundarpatan you can't get the Tahr.

The only reason why it would be a problem is if it's difficult to locate the zones in the first place. The thing about the drink zone hunting is that the water sources are obvious on the map, which means all you need to do is find the right time, and then you can immediately get to managing almost every herd on the map, because you know exactly where to go and there's really no search involved. Otherwise feed zones and rest zones would be exactly the same anyway, because on most maps feed zones are out in the open to begin with. The problem with those is that you can't find them except by random chance, or maybe tracking, which is also up to random chance often. So I think the thing that will make the difference with Tahr grinding is if it's easy to find their zones on the map. If it is, then it makes no difference that they have no drink zones. Otherwise it might be more complicated.

Sadly, the way the GO spawns in remains unchanged, so naturally hunting them will still take thousands of kills.

Same problem I have. When I do play Cotw I take 1 rifle, 1-4x scope/irons, base binos, scent elim, first aid kit and maybe the electronic caller if I want a easy hunt. Then I just walk in the map, not hunting need zones or anything only walking with the wind to make face, makes for a more realistic experience in an arcadey cotw

Im 3400 kills into my first GO fallow grind. They arent changing how you get one, so you wont see one unless you shoot thousands on average. And no, still no GO. I have 2 triple fallow piebald trophy mounts, and a dozen fallow diamonds, maybe more. So like you said, all that will happen is hm and tent cities on mountain tops. Cuz you aint spawning one in under 500 kills unless you are lucky.

I hunt these guys IRL, and they look pretty good. But personally I don’t care for all the white and black mixed colors. I would honestly have been much more pumped for like the golden, a big black one, a white one, and a big beautiful blonde. That whole two tones, skull and light grey are a complete joke in my opinion and if I got one I’d be pretty disappointed…

The game is already super easy. It just seems like people want the game to be as easy as possible. On top of that, Great Ones were never intended to be something that everyone gets. They're supposed to be so rare that next to no one gets them. I like this change because it'll actually make people work for it instead of killing tons of animals to force a respawn.
