I just bought a r33. I’m waiting for my r33 to be ready to pick up. It’s currently getting work on. Tbh I wasn’t a big fan of it at all. I was a fan of the 32 and 34 models. But the 33 really grew on me.

Love the gurney flap, imho if going full aero like it seems like you are, my style would have to add a roof spoiler over the rear window,would tie the rear end together nice and aggressive like.

The skyline coupe / sedan story is the same in the muscle car world. Everyone LOVES the two doors, but 4 doors? They don't get the love. Even though everything from the dash forward is usually the same. I dig seeing a good looking sedan, sometimes I even prefer the sedan. 1967 Impala comes to mind (Yeah, Supernatural...). The wing looks good! How bad was it drilling into that rear decklid though? Part of you probably was just a tad nervous... The car is coming together. Some exhaust poke and wheels and cosmetically she's done exterior wise!

Keep the gurney flap dawg, it's iconic and looks great, it looks a lil outta place cause the wheels aren't aggressive but once you get those wheels refinished and on it'll match so well

Evan keep the Gurney Flap it will aid traction at the rear when you are giving it big balls to the wall power. A gurney flap is a small lip placed at the trailing edge of a wing, used to dramatically sharpen the exit angle of the airflow, thereby creating more downforce without the downside of drag that a car would have from a steeper wing angle. It's named after ex-Formula 1 driver and team owner Dan Gurney.

Hey man, it looked like your holes came out pretty clean but in my experience (I've been a machinist for several years) when you're drilling into metal you'd be better off using a conventional drill motor rather than an impact. Your coated high-speed bit should still be able to cut through the steel like butter, but you won't kick as big of a burr with steadier head speed and pressure. Just something I noticed that might come in handy in the future. Anyway, I love the look of the R32 GTR wing on the R33 sedan, super clean.

love the r33...personally, my favorite version of the skyline too. my only thing with using the r32 wing...the outer edges are flat bottomed and it looks a bit out of place to me. i realize it would be a ton of work, but to make that bottom outer edge curve and match the quarter panel would really be that extra touch.
