I run blue Kuri Tech hose for my soft wash hose, I haven’t noticed any issues with leaving marks. Gotta love the way a new hose reel looks especially the all stainless one.

I've been using the red Kuri Tec hose for 2 years no problems. I bought it from pressure wash products already cramped.

Blue, doesn't mark up anything. I've been using one for 4 years now. I've had it on the rig, and it does kink, but obviously, hose management can fix that. I like the yellow ag hose rated at 800 psi it's in 1/2" tho.

I used 200 ft of Flexzilla 5/8 until I switched to the "Pro Grade" hose. I miss the flexzilla everyday. Next season I will be switching back.

Flexzilla is too flexible and prone to kinking in my experience using as water hose

I use KURI TEC AG HOSE K4131 1/2" X 200' ASSY W/ SS 1/2" NPT. Yellow hose. No issues at all after 2 seasons. Got it from PRESSURE TEK.

FWIW-I have 300’ of 5/8 FlexTech on a 18” Hannay(mine does have the 1” SS manifold). Also have 200’ of 3/4 Flexzilla (2-100’ pcs) on 12” Hannay with 1” manifold. No experience with the KuriTech but the FlexTech has been great, surface is “grabby” for the first few washes but it slicks up quickly.

I did have blue kuritek 5/8 hose. Didn’t leave marks of any kind. But I switched to 1/2in and i find it to perform just the same and less heavy

I bought the Kuri tec blue 200' 5/8" with 1/2" mpt fittings from pressure washer products, I believe they also sell a 300 foot length as well. Best price I could find. I haven't used it yet but young ambition on KZbin uses it, Lake George NY I believe. I just finished unwinding it from the roll this afternoon and let it bake out in the sun to lose its coil memory but I didn't get around to running water through it after letting it sunbath for a while. Just reeled it up about an hour ago. I believe YA mentions that the hose has not marked anywhere and is hard to kink which is why I went with it. It was hard to truly kink while I was uncoiling it I noticed.

I run blue for my booster pump and don’t leave any marks. Now blue pressure hose is a different story. That will leaves marks for a couple of months until it’s worn down. Looks cool but isn’t worth it. Softwash hose is good though! 👍🏼

those steel reels are super heavy especially with all the 5/8" hose filled with water (about 130lbs). if you're mounting the reel to the aluminum box you have to reinforce it or its gonna get crushed from the reel bouncing up and down as you drive.

@@powerfulimprovements I used two pressure treated 2x4 on top of the box length wise. It looks kindof ghetto but it works really well the wood takes the shape of the checker plate so you don't get water trapped between. wood doesn't corrode and also dampens the vibrations. I had a 14" steel reel before, it was screwed directly into the box. after a year the aluminum box got really corroded where the steel was touching the aluminum. the metal got super thin and it became a hazard to drive with it.

@@powerfulimprovements after your done spraying chems I switch over to water to flush out the pump for a minute so it’s just water in the lines and then yes…. disconnect the end of the Softwash hose from the pump outlet and I connect it to the hose reel and then reel it back up. I won’t have to replace my stainless reels every couple seasons this way, but it’s certainly not as fast as your design.
