I almost got tempted to fit heated grips on my ET4 for my commute but then decided if its cold and wet enough for that its probably better to take the car! I think its the Continental Twists (tyres) are just a bit rubbish in the damp in England. Do you have a personal channel for your hikes? Seen mount Witney plenty of times on Ghost Town Living.

Sorry no personal channel on my outdoor adventures, I just added a little clip for the fun. Yep the town of Lone Pine, CA has the backdrop of Mount Whitney, seen in so many western movies.

I'd be interested to see how to run these grips to a relay-activated power distribution block that is powered directly from the battery. I've been thinking of adding one of these to handle several accessories (heated grips, outlet for heated vest, GPS unit), but not sure where to place the block in my 2023 GTS. Would need easy access, maybe in the glove box?

Given that corrosion is an issue on Piaggio group bikes I personally would not grind off any paint. Just find a factory earth or splice into the harness.

Hi I need a bit of help I have a Piaggio medley 125 it’s a bv in the US and it doesn’t have any spark I’ve tested continuity and I get nothing what could be the problem please any help would be appreciated ❤

I would prefer using a relay and headlight to trigger relay from direct battery power.

You could, but definitely not necessary as when you key on the scooter the heated grips default to off. Also you do not want to overload the headlight circuit, especially when installing on an older GTS with a halogen bulb.

@jcorsaro A relay takes minimal current to switch.

@@ljohnson9440 You are correct, the headlight relay takes about 20 mA to switch. It switches the grey wires protected by a 10 amp fuse for the headlight circuit. The amount of current the relay requires to be switched is irrelevant to the heated grip current draw.

Why would you use epoxy on a wear-item? Also, hairspray is great for lubricating the grip for easy installation.

In UK I use hairspray too on grips. 😊

Hair spray is suitable for non-heated grips. From years of experience, you got to use a much stronger, heat resistant adhesive with heated grips.
