Made up that ‘Coffin Mulch’ put out their demo again as like you say… the tape is pretty much impossible to get! Kendo is certainly making a name for his label isn’t he… top… top bloke & putting out some brilliant music! I was lucky enough to receive a copy of that ‘Alpha Lyrae’ CD myself from Guido… so keep your eye out for it coming up in one of my future update videos! I love it! Great update as always chief & always good to see you mate!🤘🏻

Thanks for the Maimed review! Plenty of CDs available and although the Deathstare tape pressing was limited, we've also got a much larger US tape pressing available from Sewer Rot Records.

My mate built a replica of Jeff Hannemans BC Rich for the guitarist for Blasphemer. I got to play it before he sent it to him, it was awesome! I’ve still got both the Dominion albums too. Aaron Stainthorpe performed on one track the first one which is the better of the two.

Some interesting stuff you picked up. Hey, I appreciate the Bolt Thower-esque riffs that pop up from time to time in Consecration's songs. I think the Cro-Mags were straight edge dudes as well.

Great news: your eyes only get more useless as the grave approaches. I had to shamefully buy some "cheaters" to be able to read some of the small print. Thanks for the Alpha Lyrae recommendation. I would never have checked it out based on the cover; I'm listening now and digging it. Excellent stuff as always, cheers Liam!

Cool update Liam! Have heard of a few of these bands, will have to check out the Suffering Rites and Blasphemer, they sound right up my street. I know of Coffin Mulch but I've never listened to them. Maimed, Paharl and The Lifted Veil are new on me, I'll add those to my list. Nice one, cheers! 😊🤘🏻

Excellent! The Codfin Mulch is hard to come by over here across the pond. I’m keeping my fingers crossed and checking around in hopes of a crumb. You know I’m a 20 Buck Spin regulars so the Slimelord is on the way with the new Witchvomit! BoltThrower worship at its finest??? I’m all in on that stuff brother. I would be surprised but I know Al does distro them that way to certain labels, so i reckon it'll pop up over your way.Ah that Suffering RItes tape is the bomb, well worth a grab. Off on half term here so kids were out at the park with mum while I had an hour to kill before taking the car off to the garage haha. 🤘🍻💀🤘

Excellent video, Liam. As always. Luckily I have most of these, coffin mulch, Suffering Rites, Blasphemer, Burial Rot... all are amazing. Still waiting on my copy of Slimelord, as I too left it late. Missed that Andy at Dry Cough foubd a few behind the sofa, so i had to bite the bullet and purchase directly from 20buck spin. Will check out the others,buddy. Hope you are having a good week 🍻🤘

Great update Liam mate. Ines lucky enough to of snagged that coffin mulch ep🥴. That burial rot I need to look into, it’s Been shown by a few bods. Blasphemer we’re huge as we’re dominion saw the Loads back in London in the 90’s suffering Rites are new to me, I need to check them out. I just had to re subscribe to your channel! KZbin have been deleting comments and unsubscribing me from channels. Let me know if you receive this please dude. Straight edge sounds like another way of avoiding saying they are Christian fundies,especially the stance on sex.

it would be! Thankfully that definition only applies to some ridiculous small pockets of the SxE scene, Eyeteeth could not be more opposed to a fundy! They are just very angry guys playing death metal infused hardcore/grind who happen to not use booze or drugs...

Being straight edge comes in a myriad of forms, from only abstaining from drugs and alcohol to a very strict lifestyle, with a comparison to religion-while-not-being-religious-per-se. There are overlaps with certain religious movements as well though, specifically Hinduism. The Wikipedia article on straight edge gives a good summary.

Yeah it's a good album, had a few releases from Black Mass Prayers as met the chap behind the label a few years ago at a Consecration gig. All his releases are well worth grabbing. I think that definition of Straight Edge you read is more appropriate to some Utah Mormon part of that scene, for Eyeteeth, it is just not partaking in drink and drugs so they are clear of mind, and rage! Fierce live and long times mates of ours, glad you enjoyed the pairing!

I'm very much a death metal head who likes his booze but I can appreciate others have a different outlook on it. TBH most my mates have given up the booze and metal nights for slippers and Country File so may be me next haha! 🤘🍻💀
