Deicide is the album I'm looking forward to most this year but I agree they churn out the same thing over and over again, but I'm ok with that. Jealous you got to see Ronnie James Duo live as I never managed to catch him on stage unfortunately. Cheers fella

Yeah I remember you saying that and shaking my head haha! The music alright but again nothing new or exciting for me, I like my variety if I can get it. Aye was a special moment, had tickets to see him again at High Voltage Fest a few years later but he passed so it was a tribute show to him instead. Even had Gary Moore playing just before he died now I think about it. cheers for watching mate 🤘🍻💀

Great response Liam. Hooded Menace have a pretty great discography. I really like the last 2 Deicide albums, after a couple of not so great ones...... And loved the single/video they released on xmas eve. Esoteric is killer, love that album cover. Greg Chandler is a fantastic producer/master/mixer. I think he was involved on at least 5-6 releases on my DM list for 2023. Cheers. 🤘🏻🤘🏻

I like Deicide but I can't say I get excited for their music. It's the same for a lot of the older bands for me. They churn out similar albums every year without much or no variation. Top notch response Liam, as I would expect from you! Some really interesting answers to these questions, particularly the artistic relevance one. There's a fair few ways that could be interpreted, and I like the way you looked at it! Slightly jealous you got to see Bolt Thrower, as well as Heaven & Hell. I have to admit I don't really know much non-Ozzy Sabbath stuff, but I did like the album the guys released with Dio under that name, and shamefully I never got to see him live. I guess I just thought he'd always be around and I'd see him some day. Wasn't to be! I totally agree with you on Deicide. They've put out some great stuff, and one of my favourite Deicide albums is actually a non-Hoffman one - The Stench of Redemption - but they just seem to be recycling the same old shit over and over again and I really don't care anymore! Looking forward to meeting you in person, and having a few beers, in Glasgow in a few weeks, mate! Cheers! 🤘

Yeah Greg is still throwing his musical talents into loads off bands be it recording engineer, guest vocals or even his own music. Had to mention him. I saw the Thrower twice before they called it a day. Still have fond memories of both gigs. Stench of Redemption is decent but I still choose the 2nd one every time I want some evil jesus bashing death metal haha! And to you mate, the amount of baldness i'm meeting from VC makes me feel im going to win big on the lottery! 🤘🍻💀

Good shoutouts, I'm subbed to all of them. I can't disagree with your Deicide pick...I ignored them after the Hoffmans left, but I did pick up the last one dirt cheap and was surprised by how much I enjoyed it. That said, I'm not clamoring for a new one. Marty put me on to that Aquilus too, great stuff. Cool memories about Heaven and Hell...Dio was one of those artists I always thought I would catch "next time", until it was too late. Great answers, cheers Liam!

Usually i come across all the Music On Vinyl releases locally, i do not think i've seen any " Solitude Aeturnus " about, but they are now on my radar. The solitude release is the live Hour of Despair dvd they put out years ago. They did a show in Poland with onslaught. Metal Mind released it with the wrong mix. Guitarist Steve Mosley got the sound fixed up so it sounds more like it was supposed to. I have a digital version right now that sounds great. For now it is apparently a print on demand kind of thing, but who knows what will happen. Hopefully it makes it to vinyl. Interesting answers to the questions and I total agree with you about Deicide. I actually saw Bolt Thrower on the Warmaster tour at Joe's Garage in 1991. That is a nice Black Hole CD behind you and I won't even mention that I have 10 Solitude Shirts. Take care and cheers!

They just Added Cirith Ungol which is one of my fav's and Autopsy is playing Severed Survival In it's entirety. Just got this band called Sanctuarium - Into The Mephitic Abyss. Disembowelment meets Autopsy, excellent stuff.
