I will have to try to catch a bag set up sometime. Often because time is limited filming time is focused on the field with the chopper. With a few moments of time left to film unloading.

I’m sure the tractors were managing just fine, but the chopper flying along lends them an appearance of just barely keeping up. It’s quite remarkable to watch.

It’s always a challenge to keep wagons up with a chopper. This FR550 was just fine. I was just showing the clip of a wagon pulling away with the farm in the distance. Wagons were right there to pull up I just did not show that part.

Boy, that thing is *moving*. And it is on the small end of the product line! I often wonder if those ag-bags can be spliced together to make one really long, or if you have fixed lengths and have to stop the bag when you get to the end. If they can be spliced, that might be an interesting thing to watch.
@bigtractorpower
@bigtractorpower 5 жыл бұрын
I don’t think there would be any reason to splice an ag bag together. I can’t think of any reason to make a really long one. They are already a 100 ft long or more.

Back when the New Holland FX60 was made in the early 2000’s there was a Case IH CHX620. This CHX620 was only sold in Germany and England. It would have been neat to see it sold in the United States. When the FR Chopper was introduced in 2007 CNH went back to only New Holland sp choppers. Before the CNH merger Case IH offered the 8790 Mammut which they acquired from Mengele. I believe the Mammut became the Krone Big X after the CNH merger. Again the Mammut was not offfred in the United States although I heard a few were delivered in California for use.

Larger single ones possibly, but two in tandem don't work when it takes the PTO to unload them. Not to mention 2 in tow would handle poorly.
