Hello George. Thanks for putting up this excellent review on the new T6.180 Dynamic Command model It's the kind of review that would make me want to try one out on the farm if I still had the farm. It looks quite an impressive tractor as I am a life long true blue tractor man.

Local contractor has a t6.180 dc, they love it and love the transmission, they got it remapped to 200hp at all use not just pto. Pulls a 16t trailer very well and does all the drilling with a lemken combi drill. Smart tractor and they got a big tyre setup and it is supposed to be super comfy. Had it since new when the dynamic command just came out and was supposed to replace an 18,000 hour t6070 but that tractor is still around.

I have now finally driven a DC and I’m not going to lie it did take a bit of time to get use to it but…..when you get it you really get it, great video mate and it’s nice to see someone get some decent weather. My mate wants to make hay and has waited for ages now, keeps bloody raining every few days and to say he’s not happy is an understatement

The old M/60 series were quite clever too.. range command in top range.. you would simply clutch in and blip the throttle and it would automatically select appropriate gear.. both up and down in C range 😎

Great review really enjoyed that. We have a T7 autocommand and T5.140 Dynamic and I much prefer the autocommand, I think once you’ve had a vario tractor and handler it just seems a step back for any other box.

I used to work on a farm that ran a 4220 fastrac, and yeah it was very comfy. Then the 7r 250 John Deere replaced the 7930 we also had and I have to say the 7r was a fraction more comfy than the jcb.

Great video George, I think you should trade the 6020 in for that T6.180. You can't beat the Dynamic command gearbox, I drove a T6.160 with dc and it was a really good gearbox, like you said so much smoother than vario's. I find with a tractor you clutch and use gears with it's so much quicker for moving off forwards or backwards, compared to vario there is a slight delay from when you select reverse/forward. DC will be better in my eyes than a vario. Just feels like you have a lot more control for example when pulling out a junction, if you need to move out the way quickly then it's so much better. Keep up the good work George.

That DC gearbox does seem nice and I’ve heard some good stuff on it👌 I’d love to have a go in the new T5 or T6 but to afford one I’d have to sell the Sanderson and the big girl… then find a few grand on top 😩🤦‍♂

Up here in north cumbria grass growth has been terrible this year with it been cold and wet. A lot of dairy cows round me have spent most of the summer inside as theres no grass which isnt ideal. Most fields are just full of ruts with them trying to get grass and whilecrop off.

Hey George, you said if you wrap in the field you can leave em there for a bit. Don't the crows or other birds get on em over there then? Cuz here.. i wouldn't leave em in the field even over night. Cuz the next day you have to check em al for bird damage. I kind of like the idea of wrapping in the yard, but i also see little damage on our field wrapped squares. I maybe had to stick some tape on 3/4 bales out of 300 this year.😊 Anyway, beautiful tractor that T6 and Russels are happy with you being enthousiastic about it 😊

Hello George I use to drive a case maxxum 150 with the same gearbox lovely box to use but it had design fault on the software on the gearbox when you had it in memory shuttle say you was in B6 forward and B2 reverse when you put it in auto to go down the road at full speed and say get to your next field so the forward gear goes back down to B6 it would leave reverse in B8 so you would have to manually change it back down on the buttons to B2 it was a pain if you had a big trailer load of muck on to me the memory shuttle should go back to where you set it but the case doesn’t

That sounds like a right pain, similar to the old T7 when hedge cutting, your in 6th going forward but you want to nip backwards quick and it puts you in 1st

Not tried the bigger Massey's yet had a 5S on demo a couple of years ago and it was a cracking little tractorr. Tractor went back a couple of weeks ago 👍

How many hours are bales waiting before wrapping? Some say max is 2 hours. Have done 6h with ok results

Normally within a couple of hours, sooner the better as a rule of thumb, but yes they can stand for a long while with no issues 👍

George I've been looking at a New holland T6050 with 3000hrs on it . I would like to buy it for our small ranch.. What are the dislikes of the T60 series compared to the T6. I really don't want emissions or def otherwise id go for a T6. I only need it for hay and light tillage , manure spreading etc..

Only brother is that you cant change direction from the frontloader joystick. Otherwise good but basic enough machine. Have clocked like 100 hours on that exact model this spring.

I have a new T6.180 DC and it's a nice tractor to drive but the transmission has shit itself twice in 95hrs of use from new. Now rejecting the tractor, unwinding the finance and getting a John Deere 6155r. They all have their issues and mine was clearly a Friday afternoon job but wasn't happy with how the dealer handled it or CNH.
