Hi! I don't know if anyone (or more) has told you yet, but the fabric item with handle that you saw at the thrift store is a tea cosy to keep a tea pot warm. The word in Dutch is thee muts (tea hat). It's kind of the definition of 'gezellig'. 🥰 I enjoy seeing Amsterdam through your eyes! Love, a fellow thrift lover.

Andrea I would suggest you look up one of your countrymen living in Amsterdam, he does have a vlog called Not Just Bikes. He moved house and he explained how he did it. The next thing you could do is call the thrift store and explain it, they should be able to help. Next you person you could ask are your neighbours and landlord. The thing is, the Ducth rarely do is to interfere with your life, only when asked they answer. You seem to one who doesn't do that often. Only where there is something like compensation, in whatever in what form. We're not a bad lot when you get to know us, just ask. 🤗

We stayed in Amsterdam for a few days last September, so I love wandering the streets with you: such a lovely city. I need to know: did Ken manage to buy a replacement cardigan? I've done the same thing a couple of times - although I was so upset to ruin a cashmere jumper, I couldn't stop laughing at the doll-size item I pulled out of the washing machine!

Andrea I bet you take a measuring tape with you from now on. I always have one in my car I was caught too many times in the past when i needed one. I think that is cool to have an app to call up for bike repair . Yes I think the whole world is wondering what she did with the children I just pray they are alive,but you would think who ever has them would call the authorites now , or they could be charged from holding them when the police are looking for the children. Then the other 2 people being killed ,a made for movie in the making when it is all over with. Thank you for showing parts of Amsterdam. Do a lot of homes have the hooks out side to lower or raise furniture ? Have a lovely week ( Judy )
