We are trying to test the waters to see if we can transition into homeschooling. I love how real this is. It makes me feel like maybe we could do it.

My sister gifted us a snack subscription box similar to this one a few years ago, my kids loved it. I may have to add it to a kids Christmas present this year.

When you were explaining the crazy food (Ketchup chips) and how crazy that seemed I nearly spit out my coffee because I was expecting you to say something super crazy. I am Canadian and we have had ketchup chips my entire 37 years of life so they're totally normal to me lol
@OneBlessedMess9 ай бұрын
Hahaha I had no idea they were a Canadian thing, too! 😂😂 Okay, maybe it's not SO crazy! I need to give them a try!

As a Canadian, I understand the love for ketchup chips! Great video !!

It is a very interesting concept for sure! 😂 I'm sure there are a LOT of American foods that other countries see as "strange", too! Jack sure did devour those ketchup chips, though!!

I do have two lefties!! And he usually doesn't mind, but we were battling some bad attitudes on this particular day 😂 He wasn't a fan of having to do his language arts LOL

That was the other option, besides not liking the camera, he wasn't in his best mood, he looked so bored 😒

Where do you get your daily planner thing?? I think that would be great for me, Im kind of out of sight out of mind with the ones you have to open haha. So the open binding like that so it's just always out would be helpful!!

what do you do if your kids went to school. Then you home school, and your kids tell you that they want to go back to regular school

Love your videos!! Random question...what is the name of your greenish color paint on your walls in the beginning of this video? 😊 I love it and would like to maybe use it in our school room!

What do you do when they buck the school work? I struggle with my 8yr old when she doesn't want to do it.
@OneBlessedMess8 ай бұрын
I gently remind them that this is their job during the day, and that it's necessary that they get it done. Once in awhile if we're all feeling particularly burnt out, we take a mental health day. But mostly I am trying to teach my children that we all have things we need to do daily that we don't necessarily want to do, but need to do to be successful! If that fails, privileges like screen time start getting taken away.

@@OneBlessedMess nice thank you! I think we are going to take the rest of the week off until after Christmas. We'll just do bible study & relax 😌

Read aloud time doesn't have any extras to it, just me reading aloud a chapter a day of a book 😊

Also how often do you get the kids out with friends or field trips etc? I feel like I have to do that like 4 times a week or I'm failing lol which then makes it hard to get school work in.
@OneBlessedMess8 ай бұрын
My kiddos have built in best friends as neighbors, so that makes socializing easy throughout the week. We try to limit activities outside the house during the school day to once a week because I have found we are most productive when we are home! But every family is different:)

@@OneBlessedMess no that's is encouraging thank you. The pressure to have them out alot is heavy. I haven't been homeschooling long this is our third year so still working it all out lol
