I totally agree on chores. We have 10 kids, all of whom were homeschooled and who did chores each day. They're all grown now and know how to work hard. Many of them have been amazed at how few other young people in their workplaces know how to work well. Of course I made mistakes as a mom, but the thing I am most glad we did was memorize Bible verses. No matter where our kids go, the word of God is in their hearts. And the word of God will not return void. And yes, let us not grow weary....that is one of my very favorite mothering verses!

Hello, I am new to homeschooling, I am interested in one question…how and where do the kids live when they grow up since they are not allowed to go out, party itd, where and how do they find their future spouse? For now I have one son, I want to homeschool him and raise him conservative but I am worried he would end up weird / and or alone

"A kitchen that feeds a family will get messy many times throughout the day" YES! Let's normalise that life and house are not always nice and shiny, picture-perfect like sometimes we are pushed to believe! Lovely video of you and your family. I also agree with the fact that children should be given chores. Of course, measured to their abilities but if they don't learn at a young age, they will never learn, and also help them to be resilient and find happiness in accomplishing tasks.

As a traditional Catholic this video blessed me. My husband and I have a 2.5yo and a 14m old, and I’m 32 weeks pregnant. All boys. I was home schooled and am so excited to do so. We have a room in this house we plan to set up as a classroom. Where did you get your darling school desks??! We also learned piano with those Faber and Faber books. This video was oddly nostalgic for me! Encouragement and peace to you mama. I am also really trying to work on myself but it is hard. I find it helpful to remind myself that there will never be an “ideal” time (like when the baby is older, when pregnancy is over, etc) and I need to just start now.

Hi there. New subscriber here. Love your content. Your voice is so soothing. I so agree 💯 about kids having chores. I am a SAHM homeschool mama of 4. (18,16,11,6) They have had the responsibility of chores From a small age. I think it’s an important skill set to give them. It helps the household as a whole and teaches them for adulthood. Thanks for sharing your journey and can’t wait to watch more. Much love from our family to yours. ❤ # 6breakingloose 🇨🇦

Yes! Chores are a part of life. Our kids are expected to help with their own laundry and linens, take turns cleaning their own bathroom, and take turns with me sweeping and dishes after meal time. They also take turns with us to feed dogs and horses and work with me to clean the horse pens. I also have them help me with the garden. They help my husband with the orchard tasks too as well as some mechanic and irrigation tasks. All valuable life skills. We don’t have TV, only some dvds and those are a treat and not as a way to pass hours of time. If they are “bored” they are sent outside and if they can’t find something productive to do like target practice or football, basketball or other outside play then they risk getting a new chore lol reading and board games are a favorite for bad weather days.

I just stumbled upon your channel. I’m an Orthodox Jew and was blown away that you read the “shema” prayer. “Hear Israel”. This is the first prayer we teach our children and we say it twice a day and before we die. During Holocaust Jewish children were hidden in monasteries and after the war, the Jewish community was able to extract the Jewish children by the means of this prayer, because many, many Jewish children knew this prayer since the age of 2, 3 or 4. In the beginning, when we say “Hear Israel”, it is a custom to cover eyes with a hand. When the person looking for Jewish children in monasteries started reciting this prayer aloud, the children who were Jewish instinctively covered their eyes and so this person knew that these children were Jewish.

I know a lot of people frown upon homeschool. When I was younger I went to public school and by the time of highschool I switched over to homeschool. I found my days to be more productive and cut out the non essential things out. I also found that my relationship with God had grown closer than it was when I was in public school. Public school tries to push God away and I know from experience that peer pressure can also affect your walk with God. I am so happy I had switched to homeschool. Honestly it is the best choice to make for your children, I love the way you homeschool and I inspire to teach my future children like you do one day.

Most of the part about laziness is really disturbing. If someone is sick either temporarily or permanently, them resting and not being able to do the things healthy can people can do is NOT laziness at all. That is a natural way for the body who is sick. The Lord himself decreed a day of rest even if one is completely healthy, let alone if they are afflicted with illness. As someone with a severe chronic illness who can't do most things that healthy people can do, being told that that's just an excuse for laziness is very cruel. That is an abuse of this word in every way

Watching people like this makes me so happy knowing i didnt grow up around any type of religion. For me it all looks like, manipulate young people, to force them to believe in something, i believe in that if you truely wants your kids to believe in something, they can/should choose that them self as they grow up, not force it into their brain. Anyone watched Bill burs white-black stand up? Anyone remember his church? Ye thats this xD I actually mean no hate, but for me who's parents gave me a choice this doesnt look right. But we all grow up different aswell, different cultures maybe? No idea.

The Bible commands parents concerning children “… bring them up in the training and admonition of the Lord.” (Ephesians 6:4 NKJV) ““Therefore you shall lay up these words of mine in your heart and in your soul, and bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. You shall teach them to your children, speaking of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up. And you shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates, that your days and the days of your children may be multiplied in the land of which the Lord swore to your fathers to give them, like the days of the heavens above the earth.” (Deuteronomy 11:18-21 NKJV)

@@BullShark-i2z In Eden that was Adam’s greatest sin and why God held him accountable and all throughout the Scripture it is referred to as”Adam’s sin” because Adam did not lead and protect his wife and this is why women can not preach in the churches bc Eve was deceived and not Adam. It seems Adam knew full well it was wrong and wasn’t deceived but instead blatantly disobeyed God. “Let a woman learn in silence with all submission. And I do not permit a woman to teach or to have authority over a man, but to be in silence. For Adam was formed first, then Eve. And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived, fell into transgression.” I Timothy 2:11-14 NKJV

@@BullShark-i2z In the Gospels and early church women were very valuable as they still are in the Church today, but they do serve in different roles. Notice that there were no woman Apostles nor was a woman chosen to be one of the 12 disciples. Jesus valued women, but he did not choose them as leaders.

@julienyholm1056 I've known plenty of families that feel convicted to wear the head coverings and aren't in an Amish or Mennonite church. Funny how a godly family is accused of being in a cult, but those who follow the whims of the world and bow down to political correctness are viewed as normal. I'd say the latter is more a cult than anything! Kinda creepy how you're trying to track down the location of this family, through their church. 🧐
@Abiding_Home11 ай бұрын
We have lots of fun and play and go many places outside of our home. This is a video just under 30 minutes of a day at home, not a look at our entire life, but even in this video we played games and a few of my children went and stayed the night with their grandparents who attend a different church than us and do not dress like us. Yet we love them dearly and spend much time with them! That is not how cults do things. I’m not sure what your definition of a cult is, but we are Bible believing Christians who believe we are saved only by Jesus’ work on the cross and not by any of our own good works. We live and dress the way we do because we love the Lord and want to obey Him. Also if my girls do not marry then I have also prepared them to serve God in their singleness and with many different skills to provide for themselves. One of my daughters is on track to be a midwife or ultrasound tech because she loves women and babies, so you really have misjudged us. I pray you can have a change of heart.

I hear your message and love it, however, I can’t get on board with sharing your children. You could have focused on their hands and or feet as they were working. My daughter has 7, she homeschools and owns her own business and grows her family in the Lord. She keeps hers far from the internet, You can let your children be the hands and feet of God without showing them fully. They deserve their privacy and that wouldn’t change your message. I wish you success in your endeavor both with your family and your business. But I do pray you will limit your children’s exposure. May God bless!
@Abiding_Home11 ай бұрын
Thank you for sharing your opinion. We all have different convictions on how much to share when it comes to our children. I never share anything my children do not want me to share, and I ask them if they want to be in the videos. I also don’t share their names. This is where we are for now.
@ritahamm189311 ай бұрын
I’ll make one more comment just for your consideration. Please don’t think I’m criticizing you to be mean. Just want you to have food for thought bc it’s absolutely none of my business how you raise your family. But children can’t give informed consent. They don’t have the ability to fully understand what the risks are or how comments from others may affect them. Also, children shouldn’t be responsible for bringing income into the family. Thats a heavy burden. If you think the children aren’t necessary for the content then don’t use them. Again, I’m on your side. I truly want you to be successful. If they are in the back ground here and there it’s one thing, but if they are the content then it’s a job. Just my opinion. Blessings

I appreciate your input. It will always be something I consider and pray about. Many channels share their lives with their children and monetize and I have never thought they were doing anything wrong, unless they were showing something that would shame their child like bad behavior or embarrassing moments.
