Its actually quicker to 60mph than the the 7.8secs you mentioned. Carwow did a review and when tested Matt got 6.7 and 6.8secs to 60mph.....and he reported an average of 51mpg with his lead foot treatment. Brilliant car.

This is just like the 1.5T gasoline Civic 10th gen. I''ll keep that one. Going to higher complexity for the sake of fuel consumption? I guess in real world driving, longer distances(highway) you get maybe half a liter less than the 1.5T engine? No thanks.

As usual, the Honda engineers have done a good job for this. It's worthy of changing over from an MPV with the space and also having some fun. Apparently the 0 to 60 is actually quicker than that on some tests and it handles well in the bends?

There is no gearbox yet it sounds like it is changing gear - that engine sound is a simulation. Its unbelieveable that you're one of the first to review one of these but you gloss over the drive train detail that makes this car unique among current hybrids. The Honda engineers have done something amazing. They remade a totally different machine from the previous generation. This car is the set of the 3 previous versions, in terms of consumption, acceleration and comfort and engine technology. I tried it 2.weeks ago and after a few kilometers of test drive, I immediately fell in love with it. 🔝. Fuel consumption from hyper diesel and the ordered pearl white, Advance version. In Italy in January it will be in the dealership so I will come to pick it up👍😊.

Great stuff, BUT, Honda will be making a big mistake going all electric, like other car manufacturers as well. EV's are being rejected by the buying public! They are a menace, cost too much and will be replaced by hydro-power soon! Toyota is already working on a hydo-powered engine. Don't buy electric!

The fake shifting sounds 100x better than the previous design with no fake shifting. Those cars just drone and sounded like crap…which everyone complained about. Since these cars don’t have gears, simulated shifts make it sound so much better. This is a great solution to the drone they made before.

No, it's not the 1.8L 2022 corolla hybrid takes nearly 10 seconds to 60 and the one with the same size engine as the Honda takes an identical 7.8 seconds, where is this smaller engine faster corolla? and car wow timed the Honda civic 2022 hybrid at 6.73 seconds, so you do your research.
