Its a pity you didn't drive on a full charge, on the plug in hybrid and see how many miles it delivered.

Love mine - use as an EV all week and longer trips using the petrol back up - its easy to achieve 60+mpg on average in winter - and you get additional features like pre-heating. Great to drive and a nice place to be.

Thanks for the review, PHEV setup seems similar to Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV 2023 New Gen design ! Infact Mitsubishi got advance Super AWC drive along with much 0.6s to get 60MPH

I purchased an Advance Tech Phev in Crystal Red metallic for £46k in March. Charge overnight on cheap rate electricity for 7 pence a kilowatt hour. Worst electric only range has been 40miles at motorway speeds & a best of 60 miles in mixed speed driving. Most of my journeys are less than 50 miles. Even if you use up the electric only range 4 kilowatt hours is still available to run as an Hybrid. Say

Got that right. No thanks! I don’t know what is wrong with people.

PHEVs make sense if most of your journeys are local - and you do the occasional long distance a couple of times a month. The fact you can drive long distance without having to think about charging schedules etc provides a level of convenience a BEV cannot. The decreased MPG on those longer journeys is usually offset by you using electric power for most of your normal use

@@Uzaair hm I do 30000-35000km per yr and most on long distance (500-1000km one way). for business. not once did I miss my range monster mercedes c220d and there is no real advantage of vombudtion engines left that really matters . i am agtually faster than with the mercedes because I always took a 20-30min break after 4-5h deiving and had to add 5-10min for filling the gas tank. now i have the same stops but without time spend at the gas pump 🤷♂️

They make a lot of sense in the UK as a company car if you do long journeys. I've done 65k miles in my Golf GTE over the last 3 years, including multiple trips on the continent and its been refined, economical and hasn't induced range anxiety.
