IDK WHY Honda North America would NOT sell the 1.5t in the HRV - My honda dealer tells me they don't sell any HRV's and my salesmen even told me they're way to underpowered and are only good if you're a young guy or girl that needs a commuter car for college or something like that. If Honda did this, a AWD 1.5T engine Hatchback/CUV offered w/ a Manual! it would sell like crazy in NA! I would buy one! - WE LIKE POWER & FUN CARS IN THE US & CANADA AS WELL!!!!

Great interior, but needs the AWD, Jason. PLUS....for me, the big negative with Honda is the lack of power in the HRV and CRV. Yeah, I know.....the Honda fanboys are going to say “there’s plenty of power in the 1.5 Turbo”.....but honestly, there isn’t. And I was a Honda owner for over 20 YEARS (3 Civics and 3 CRV’s), and then purchased a 2015 Subaru Forester XT after test driving the 2017 CRV with that 1.5 Turbo. There is simply no comparison in performance between the two vehicles. What the CRV needs is the 2.0 Turbo that’s in the new Accord, and the HRV needs the 1.8 litre engine currently in the North American market converted into a Turbo, and you’d have some kick ass performance out of both vehicles. Give me 260+ HP in the CRV as an option, and I’m coming back to Honda. Until then, I’ll keep flying around doing 0-60 in under 7 seconds in my XT! 👍

Brent Cairns Agreed Brent. But a new RDX is almost $20K more than a CRV Touring. I’d like to see similar performance to my Forester XT in the $40K range....and Honda won’t do it.
