I do the same thing. It doesn’t matter where I’m headed, if I’m going to throw out my cheese stick wrapper, I look for things that need to go to the trash, if I’m headed to the bathroom I look for hair ties or my brush or anything that goes in there. I try to never take a trip empty-handed. And if I get the Windex and paper towels out, I’ll clean everything in that room that’s glass. Any time you can make it easier on yourself is a good thing. And you’re so right Carissa, live in the house and see how you use it before you make cut in concrete decisions about what each room is going to be and do. It’ll become obvious what works best the longer you live there. The house is beautiful and congratulations again. And please let Nick know I send wishes for a happy birthday and a blessed new year in his life!! Take care!

Vinegar will degrade your hardwood floors over time. My uncle refinishes floor and the number one cause of needing them refinished is homeowners using vinegar. It eats through the finish into the wood.
@JariDawnchild3 жыл бұрын
@@amandakesterson224 Right. A friend of mine uses vinegar to clean hers, then follows it up with a homemade furniture polish sort of mix. I think she's nuts for wanting to make more work for herself when she's got three small kids but she's apparently happy doing it lol.

We use good ole vinegar and water on our hardwood. Other cleansers always leave a film either the first cleaning or build up overtime. I sometimes add a few drops of an essential oil to cut down on the vinegar smell for the sake of my husband but taking care of 1940s hardwood is worth it to last another 80 years! We also use a separate mop for our tile and hardwood so what we use in the tile never touches the hardwood.

I always add a cap or 2 of Lysol or hardwood floor cleaner to my water as well depending on what floors I’m doing I usually make 2 different buckets. The water cools before I finish so it works out perfect that way

Question. Are your plants around the living room and dining room natural? they look pretty good ... Suggestion: Use a special wood floor liquid. In addition to taking care of the shine and the life of your floor, it is cheaper. I have the same mop but I do not use the rotating base, I put my wood liquid in a spray bottle, I spray directly the floor and I mop it.

I can't tell if you did it or not based on the editing, but look up the roll method for the duvet cover. You basically put your duvet cover inside out on your bed, then put the comforter on top, and then roll it together like sushi starting from the closed end. Then, you close the buttons or zipper and unroll it (so it flips the duvet out). Hard to explain, but watch a video! It is a game changer :)

I thought I was alone as someone whose favorite isle at the grocery store was the cleaning isle. You even fold towels the way I do. Love your channel. I binge watched all of your videos in the past couple of weeks. I have a spin mop. I purchased a longer handle. The handle that comes with it is too short for me.
