From someone who's owned a construction business for over 20 years: That's not the proper saw for cutting a gate. You also should have snapped a chalk line across the bottom of the gate in order to make a straight cut across. I'd get a pavement steamroller to compact those stones down. It will create a more even surface, and less rocks will kick up and hit your cars as you drive over them. If you want lights along your pathways, I'd dig a trench first for the electric to run through before laying down all that stone.
@sam-sq4si5 жыл бұрын
Or just get little solar path lights, so cheap and no wiring needed.
@thehauntedmansionfan5 жыл бұрын
@@sam-sq4si That area to the side looks quite shaded. I'd put in electric landscaping lights. Solar lights don't last long and can look cheap.

It is beautiful, but just Curious why you paved your driveway and then covered with gravel ?? In the US - this is backwards. no we had a driveway and it was tarmac over years it broke up.Yes it was going to cost a lot to have it done so we put small gravel down.[like jonathan had before that he has just covered]we regret it nightmare keeps coming into the house.[just like was happening at jonathans].Personally we would like the whole thing done in tarmac but just to much to pay for at the time. we are in the uk.Personally i suppose its just a choice .I am not sure what was under the gravel I think he said a tarmac driveway.I think we would have just removed the top gravel if there was a nice tarmac driveway under there.But Jonathan seems to like this look which is fair enough at least the stones are bigger. which is a good thing .no ones backwards in the uk lol laura58

Hi Jonathan! I am in south Florida and have some wonderfully bright colored Bougenvilia planted in several areas close to my view from inside the home. They are inspiring while enjoying them in bloom pretty much year round (they are thorny though, strictly ornamental). I think that there are several places that you could plant these (or even a climbing rose bush) especially in the drive area closer to the house. Too bad I couldn’t post a picture a pagoda built out from the garage with a beautiful climbing bougenvilia in a fuchsia color (deep pink/purple color) or I would for ideas. I am not certain if it is indigenous to your area but pretty certain it would grow, with care to be covered perhaps in your frost/snow season. It grows as far as zone 8 in America. I really enjoy seeing your gardening projects, want to get your “nanotechnology” mini chainsaw. Enjoy watching Anna change the interior of the home as well, beautifully done! We have missed your videos! 🤓🙂🙃🌺🌴 💕
