Adding a fake chimney breast is super easy to do, especially as DIYers. If you get a carpenter in it will be slightly costly as price do wood and labour is expensive at the moment. Can then have cupboards either side and shelves to add lots of decor. ❤

the tall wardrobe isn't all bad: just make a top shelf for long storage of stuff you're not wearing/using for the season. like storing all your chunky sweaters over the summer, then swap out when the season changes to put all your shorts & summer clothes for the winter.

The long black shoehorn was my first purchase at Ikea that was build 5 years ago in my country (Latvia). It's super comfortable since I don't need to bend down.

Bath is a beautiful place. I got married in Bath. We had our wedding at the Little Theatre, which is a 1930s cinema near where the baths are. We then had our reception at Bath Spa University which has beautiful views.

I live about 20 minutes from bath. The city is so beautiful. You were brave to drive there. The traffic is often crazy there. I have to go once a week for a session with my nephew..we use public transport and even that's manic. I like to look at stuff I can't afford too! 🙂

If you have an alexa or google in your room you can get smart bulbs and set commands to turn the lights off. Means no bargaining with each other when you get into bed and realise the lights are still on 😅

You might be able to get a price adjustment on your ikea wardrobes, you'll need to look into it but sometimes if theres a sale, i think within a year of your purchase they might adjust what you paid

Don't know about Ikea,but most stores offer an adjustment if yiu just purchased the items right befor the sale. If Ikea doesn't, a sneaky way is to repurchase the items you just bought and then return them on your firs (non sales) receipt. Just saying.....

I love you and Soph! You two are adorable! Don’t you have a grace period in your country if a product goes on sale? In Canada or at least Ontario, if an item goes on sale within two weeks they will refund you the difference if you have your receipt. Otherwise, you could just return it and then rebuy at the lower price. Some stores will go as long as a month. I get that the wardrobe isn’t easily returned!
