Thanks for this video and all the effort to communicate how to get this set up but for some reason, I couldn't get this to work without getting a feedback problem. I finally resolved this with the following setup. Maybe this can help some other similarly dimwitted people like me. First of all, I purchased and installed the A Cable and B Cable per your instructions I also installed the audio monitor 0.6.1 for OBS on Windows 1) in Zoom on my primary PC, I hosted a meeting 2) On an ipad (I also could have used a phone) I joined that meeting so I could test my results since the challenge is to get both my voice and the audio portion of a video to be audible to Zoom participants. ( Plugging in earbuds to this test device can help prevent artificial feedback loops) 3) In the primary Zoom session, on the audio popup (the up arrow by the mute/microphone icon in the lower left), select Cable A for the microphone and Cable B for the speaker 4) In the primary Zoom session, on the video popup (the up arrow by the vide icon in the lower left), select OBS virtual camera 5) open OBS 6) create a new scene by pressing the + in the lower left 7) add a new source for Mic/Aux, select your preferred microphone as the input. Next add an audio monitor filter for this source with the device set to Cable A 8) add a new media source as any local video file that also includes audio, add an audio filter and set the device to Cable B 9) right click on the Audio Mixer header and select Audio monitor if it's not already checked 10) Set the audio output slider in the Audio Monitor in the middle of the range 11) This is the basic configuration that worked for me

It seems like OBS could simply have a dedicated simple audio virtual output. In zoom, you would select obs (virtual) camera and obs (virtual output) audio. It would be a 15 second tutorial instead of 9 minutes. I agree, OBS gives you things you can’t do directly in zoom, like the compressor filter for audio, or the option inside the audio menu to delay the audio by 100 or 200 ms so that it sinks better with the video channel.

Thank you for the information. I have one question. I'm trying to bring the feed from zoom, process it through OBS, and then stream it live FB. But what happens to the people in the zoom group? If A from the zoom is speaking, and we process it through OBS... one output will go to FB live and the other should feedback to zoom. Wouldn't that create feedback? Does it mean all the zoom participants need to use a headphone?

I've been using OBS for a year or so. Zoom yer YEARS. I Use VoiceMeeter Banana for my audio. I'm happy to see the new audio plugin. I'll give that a try. We have live zoom meetings where we review lots of text and web pages where the viewers listen and follow along. We present from computer "A" send NDI screen capture 2560x1440 to Computer "B," which runs OBS and hosts the Zoom meeting using the OBS Virtual Camera plugin as the Zoom input. Zoom screen sharing directly from Zoom has always looked pretty good, but now that I use OBS with the virtual camera plugin, guests in the live Zoom meeting have complained. The zoom recording used to look good at 1080. Now zoom only records 360. Thankfully I started recording in OBS and zoom, so I have the full-res recording from OBS. Is there a way to make Zoom see the OBS output (2560x1440 full screen) as a document camera? This is really needed. Many Thanks!

Have you found any way to take advantage of Zoom's enabling background images for people who don't have green screens? This process happens downstream of other software I route my webcam's video through, like Logitech Capture, and I would like to use it with OBS once your connections are enabled. Or does OBS have a similar plug-in to provide this capability?

I have been taking a similar approach in OBS to get my audio to Zoom/Meet by way of Settings> Audio> Advanced> Monitoring Device=VirtualCableInput, and then setting individual audio sources under Advance Audio Properties to "Monitor and Output" to aggregate the audio. The plug-in feels like less of a workaround than my approach. As an aside, I have tried the NDI approach instead of virtual cables, but it did not work for me. The audio quality and signal strength dropped too much. Gave up after hours of troubleshooting.

As you can see I"m a beginner!

I have Yorkville mixer. and this is what i did, do not need vb cables or ndi 1, connect your mixer to your laptop, 2, on lap top select usb codec as your virtual input out put. 3 , on OBS, set codec usb as ur audio in and out. 4, on zoom mic should be codec usb. crystal clear sound.

This is great! I am setting up and wondering how do I get the zoom video feed into obs? I try to video capture my monitor 2 which is zoom maximized but I get a bleeding effect. In your video I believe you’re displaying a previously recorded zoom. How would you actually get the participant feed into obs itself? Thoughts? Your help is appreciated.

I've used your method for the last two years and it has worked flawlessly...unfortunately, following my computer's update yesterday, I can't get any sound from OBS into Zoom anymore....Anyone else have this problem?

Hello, this is great. But one issue. I'm usinc Mac. When getting video from Zoom (with display capture) there's a noticable delays on it. The audio comes first and theres a delay on the video capture. Any fix on this? Thanks

So, were you sending a video of a zoom meeting to zoom to create the illusion that there were people in the actual live zoom?
@bcomsugi3 жыл бұрын
yes, but how bout the sound? the sound is stright to zoom and people will hear the sound first than the illusion pic/video arrive late(because the video need to go to obs PC and then bos make the illussion, then put back to zoom). how to solve the lip sync of the spokeperson?

Can't figure it out. Too complex. My setup is as follows. Yeti X USB mic and headphones on the Yeti. In OBS desktop audio is disabled. No other options. I have a media source movie, an introduction jingle. Cant hear it anymore, although it shows its playing. The output into the Yeti headphones seems to be the problem. Any help would be appreciated.

Question: I’m using Rode Connect as my mic system for OBS with Zoom! I can get sound into Zoom, but I cannot hear the speaker test back into OBS! This is not the case when I use the Rodecaster Pro, but with Connect I cannot figure out the configuration? Any quick fixes you can suggest?

Now, Cable A from OBS to zoom and cable B from obs to zoom.. How about monitor without a lag to the participants sitting in the same studio ???? Using Mg10xu mixer and using mics input for 2 or 3 participants and a scarlet i2i. How to connect monitor to the participants headset who are sitting in the studio to talk and listen without a milli second delay .

I'm a little confused. You used VB Cables (free) in the video, but then link and recommend Loopback (a $99 software) in the description. Is there a different video using Loopback? Or should we stick with VB Cables...?
@StreamGeeks3 жыл бұрын
Just stick with the free virtual audio cables.

Hello there thank you for the tutorial. I just have a question on how to correctly implement this use case: using Mac for Android phone calls. My current setup seems wrong because there are echos from both the one im calling and also in my side. My current setup: - a USB sound card is connected to my macbook - an audio splitter is connected to my android phone -phone's mic is connected to my sound card's speaker port through 3.5mm cable. And phone's speaker is connected my sound card's mic through 3.5mm cable OBS Setup: - USB Sound Card (phone) as Audio Input Source -> Audio filters to my earphone - My earphone as Audio Input Source Audio filters to USB Sound Card (phone) with this setup, i can hear and speak through my Mac and the one im calling can hear me ok. but the problem is, i can hear my voice echoing in my earphone and my caller can his voice echoing as well I understand why because the current setup has like.a circular dependency. Is there any other setup i can try to achieve this without echo?

thanks very much for this, almost exactly what I need except I don't need to record the audio from zoom so don't need A+B cables. However, I am mightily confused because I cannot mute the microphone. I have a Logitec Group conferencing speaker/microphone/camera and just get microphone output to zoom (zoom input is vCABLE output) no matter what I do except if I turn it down in the filter setup dialog. But that is no use during a live blended meeting, too many clicks to get to it. I have a scene that captures the video being shown on a dataprojector, VLC plays the video with audio out to the Group speaker (for local viewers). I capture that audio and reroute to the cable input so it also gets sent to Zoom, however, the microphone is still live even though no device in the scene even uses it as an input. What am I doing wrong?

I figured it out, you have to link the volume to the source and if you want muting you have to link that as well.
