What's going to become of the old rail cars? Will they be refurbished and updated to be on par with the HR4000s?
@Geotpf29 күн бұрын
I suspect the old cars will remain in service for awhile still. The D Line extension and potential frequency upgrades will make it so they will need both the old and new cars, at least for awhile.

At 1:21 mark, this is the EXACT Breda A650 train (DC Motors). I was riding Cars 529 after CRRC HR4000 left while the older Breda arrives for North Hollywood. Don’t tell me you recorded it without me knowing considering I record the interior in Dec. 20th

@@beyond16bit It is actually a air whistle not a horn. Most trolleys and subway trains had either a air whistle or a horn.

Although I like the new LAMTA cars, up the COAST in San Francisco, BART just overall looks much better...maybe it's because they aren't in that Yellow Color! And, these are more in a "BOXIER" appearance. Hopefully, they'll hold up as long as the earlier fleet of Subway Cars!

These are a huge improvement, but while this train would've looked good in 2014... it is 2024. This is not a truly modern metro train. These will look super outdated once again and need replacement earlier than other trains of its age used worldwide. If you don't understand what I mean, just compare these trains to the new trains from Sydney Metro, or even the R211s from NYC Subway or 8000 Series on the DC Metro. These look about a decade older than those. At least they have partially open gangways though.
