Paracord is fantastic, not only does it protect the ax against the axe handle, you can use the cord in an emergency if cord is needed.

Hi Colin, sweet hatchet! I'd like to get one. I have a Council Tool Woodcraft Pack Axe that's more full size, bought a leather collar to protect the handle. Thanks very much for showing how to do the paracord wrap.👍🪓

I've wondered how you do the paracord coverings. I've just ordered plenty of paracord today to tie my stove chimney down, spare cord will be getting used on my husqvarna axe now. Nice one mate 👍🏻

The Scandi axes are a bit spendy. I put a piece of auto radiator hose at the axe neck to protect the handle. Looks like a nice piece though. Swiss milsurp camp axes going for about $35.

They get a good name Ralph, looking forward to using it. I've heard of peollevalso using inner tubes as well to protect the handle. Think most of the axes/blades from Sweden are well made. 👍🏕😎👌

I treat my handle with linseed oil, I use my axe in any weather

Nice axe mate not a fan of the para cord on it makes it cheap looking, it’s much better with leather to match the sheath..Atb Wullie 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Cheers, I'll upgrade to a leather one eventually, only just hot the axe, so want to protect the handle straight away. The sheath on it is rubbish so wouldn't want a matching leather cover for the handle. I'll get a custom made set at some point in the future, atb👍🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🏕😎👌
