Suzanne is a writer who knows how to pen an amazing world. It’s like my excitement for Songbirds and Snakes is being relit. I’ve been wanting a second quarter quell book since catching fire. I’m not sure if you’ve seen the fan flick of the quater quell but I honestly cannot get enough. And to think we may be able to see Haymich descend into alcoholism due to the games and snow sends me over the moon.

Tigris and Maggs both play a major role in this book. Tigris will be Haymitch’s stylist, and the things she does to encourage Haymitch is the final nail in her relationship with Snow. I feel that it’s not an accident that Haymitch speaks so kindly of Maggs in Catching Fire. She made a profound impact on him, perhaps as a surrogate mentor because 12 doesn’t technically have an available winner? There will be many Easter eggs as it pertains to Katniss’ mom and dad. Plutarch is most likely a young game maker, and the events in this book set him on a path of defiance. When he tells Katniss that she inspired him to come back, it indicates he had been in that position before.

I hope they do what they did in TBOSAS where they show before, during, and after the games. and I really hope they do alternating povs throughout the book but I can understand if they do just Haymitch's. also I personally think that it is going to be 1st pov because for TBOSAS, it was in 3rd pov to show the disconnect between snow and the audience (or at least that's what I heard)

Looking forward to the next Hunger Games book, as a massive Hunger Games fan. HOWEVER, I hope it is about more than just Haymitch's game. Because we already know Haymitch's story, we know he wins and HOW he wins. There isn't really all that much we don't already know so it'd be hard to write a compelling story when we already know the ending.

I totally understand this but I have to disagree. Just because you know a story and how it ends doesn’t mean it won’t be a great a compelling story. I mean look at titanic or any other natural disaster movie based on a true story. I hope that the books kind of keep the story structure how they’ve had it but they go through the hunger games in the first 10-12 chapters so the rest can be the fall out showing us how he descended into alcoholism.

I'd really like a book about Johanna's or Annies games. We only know a little about their games, but both intrigued me. I honestly think it'd be cool if Suzanne Collins wrote novellas of other victors games. And you could buy them all together or separately!

Yeah I think that is a great idea! And I also wish that could be possible, but imagine how much work that would beee, you know that Suzanne LOVES writing with details, and although she has created this huge world, cutting it into pieces just to entertain us isn't something that could possibly fulfill her desires and plans, cause is her work remember that.

And with that said I don't think that this new book is going to be about only the Second Quarter Quell and how Haymitch survives it but I think is going to be about how the people outside in the districts reacts to this horrible games and how Snow takes the ultimate power becoming President and ending a rebellion...

@@honouraf EXACTLY and other than Snow in ABOSAS we don't have a capitol perspective. Even that can hardly be counted considering its 60 years prior to the events of THG and its the perspective of someone whos struggling to make it in the capitol. I need to know how Cinna becomes aware that his home is THE problem and what inspires him to fight against it so ruthlessly. Over and over again in THG we realize that capitol citizens don't even know that what they're contributing to is WRONG, so how does Cinna become enlightened to it? I'm so CURIOUS UGH!
