Thanks for sharing your current situation, Melina, it is absolutely necessary to have some downtime, creators work hard, giving on so many levels. As you said, it is all a catch 22, but know your 'friends' , and this is what most viewers are, are always there. True friends, never put pressure on one, but also express concern, when they feel something is not quite right. So it is good, you are creating again and had a lovely chat, making your friends feel comfortable and relatable in so many ways. Well done You! for picking up the scissors again, Love & Light, Kx 💝

Always look forward to your videos, whatever you do! If you put a piece of cardstock behind your paper when you punch it, it will punch smoothly. Many punches don’t like thiner paper.

We all go thru the blah. I think it is winter weather But you (and your mom) are ones I always watch! You get me inspired! Unfortunately, I fell in February and broke my shoulder. So I have been sidelined from my crafting. But I am storing up ideas! And I should get this sling off real soon and am ready to go! Love you, Melina! PS I am new to junk journaling. I haven't even made my 1st one yet! I can't wait!

I love this idea! They are so cute. I can't wait to make some of these. Girl, this winter got me with the depression, too. I have depression anyway, but never had seasonal depression on top of what I already deal with. It is whole other animal. Between the snow, sleet, rain, and the wind, I was indoors a lot more than normal. So, I finally went a bought one of those special lights that mimic sunlight to see if that helps. This has been a learning experience for this Florida girl, living in the cold north! We got snow today to boot! 😂 I'm glad you are feeling better! ❤😊

Hi Melina! I just want you to know we sure do appreciate you and your videos no matter if it’s a new idea or an older one it doesn’t matter. I just love spending time watching you create and like you said it’s also a way to gather with crafty friends even if it isn’t in person. We all have lost our mojo at times and it can be very difficult during those gloomy depressing colder times of the year to keep our spirits up for sure. I’m originally from Ohio and I always hated January through March because the skies were so dark and gloomy. I live in Texas now (after living just a few miles from where you are in Alabama for 7 years) and oh my what a difference that sunshine makes for my spirits so I sure can understand where you’re coming from. I’m glad your flowers are starting to sprout and spring is starting to bloom and warmer weather for you. Please know we do care about you and hope you’re able to keep sharing your creative ideas and projects with us because you’re very important to us…you hear me…😊! Thanks for todays project and they are adorable for sure. Say hello to your mom and enjoy that sweet family of yours too!

Hi Melina. I so know what you are saying about being offish about making videos. I am a crochet fanatic and before the end of March I hadn't crocheted a thing since about August 2023 ... our entire summer. I am in South Africa. It has been a very hot, dry summer and the thought of crocheting just did not appeal to me which was bad because I have a ton of phd's. Suddenly the weather is a bit cooler and I am crocheting up a storm. Must be seasonal. Or it could be that my crochet friend and I weren't on speaking terms for that amount of time so I wasn't motivated. Probably a big part of it. Don't care what it is, just glad it's back 😀

Melina, love the idea of coin dangles, yes sell some of your ephemera, I will certainly purchase some. I have had a weight problem all my life, I just don't think about, If I want candy or cake, its always a piece that's not big. I do bike and walk a lot, that's when I started to see the weight come off, slow and long is the safest. I had a lot of bullying in grade school, it was awfully, but you overcome and forge ahead. Key is we have to like ourselves and that was the hardest thing for me to do. I love myself now and this is as good as it gets. Life is too short, we need enjoy ourselves too, good looks fab; but truthfulness to yourself is always there, AMEN!!

Don't worry about bringing ideas from other crafters to us. Like other's have said, you put your own spin on it and the chats, life updates and perspectives are unique to you. Do you use rusty pins or paperclips? I have tried to make some without much success...
@MelinaPylant9 ай бұрын
Thank you! I do not. It’s a texture thing for me. I cannot stand the texture of rust. Just talking about it makes my skin crawl. I’m an odd one, I know. ha ha ha ha! 😆

Lets face it we've seen it all especially when it comes to paper crafting. But im getting into the mass makes that are easy or moderate. Its refreshing my mind to what ive learned. But i can imagine it must be so stressful to come up with ideas to make a video.😊❤how much more than we come up with. Lets just make a project thats an ole idea. I love what you came up with. I did these for my three granddaughters when i made their paw patrol barbie and kitty journals. I made three different each. I made these and put bulb pins on them. Sorry so long i just miss my deceased boyfriend Gary and im just so very lonely

10:42 Shut your mouth, girl! We are never ever ever tired of you! I don’t care if you do the same things over and over because that’s what we do in our crafting. We just use different papers, right? And I think it is absolutely fine to look at other contact creators’ videos, and bring us things that they do. Because we don’t see all the videos of all the contact creators. I watch lots and lots of videos, but I don’t think I have ever seen anything that you have done that I’ve seen anybody else do. I know you do really creative things. But if you brought your videos things that another contant creator did hey, that’s fine with me, you will bring your own spin to it! Also, the one you were having trouble with cutting out cleanly, is that a namebrand one, for example, WeR Memory Keepers, or is it an offbrand? If it’s a WRMK, I probably would think about contacting them and telling them that you’re having trouble punching out cleanly with it. Maybe they would send you a new one. I don’t know what their guarantee is or what kind of customer service they have, but it’s worth a try. I love all these little coins that you’ve prepared. I can hardly wait to make some myself!
