Does this have a cling type layer to hold onto the microfiber?

It’s foam and pretty hard to slip but you don’t want to use Velcro or similar and damage the towels so it’s a good compromise

HI, I saw this tool on another channel, followed the link and bout a reacher. Seems like I clicked on the waffle weave. Will it work as well as the smooth? Should I return it and exchange?

Personal preference really. I personally prefer smooth glass flip which is why you usually see me using that in the videos

I want to love this tool but I am not sure I like the floppiness of the towel on the handle side dragging over the dash and the towels look way too plush for those hard to reach areas.

You have multiple options you can use and we have not found that to be an issue. You (we) need to be cognizant of Velcro-type attachments as it can damage the microfiber in short order
