I actually really like this method. Making you fight more than 50 to increase your odds will give everyone who wants to hunt on full odds the chance to do so. FYI: I'm shiny hunting Rookidee and Wooloo on route 1 and I've just realized that the Pokedex seems to stop counting battles at 999. My Rookidee count was 999 when I last checked a few hours ago and it still is when I checked now though I've been continuing to battle them. UPDATE: I'm starting to feel like this is bogus or the odds are glitched. I've been at this for going on two weeks at least. Though I can't know for sure since the Pokedex stopped counting which is annoying, I've maxed out Rookidee at least twice, if it's not three times than I've got to be closing in on it which should have guaranteed me one shiny encounter but it hasn't happened. I'm getting close to just breeding instead. I did receive a Japanese Rookidee in a surprise trade.

Apparently, due to a glitch, the increased odds only affect the pokemon 3% of the time. So each time you encounter a Rookidee, you have a 3% chance of having your 1 in 512 reduced odds... It basically makes the method near worthless. If you have a foreign ditto, just go for the breeding, I reckon. It irks me that unless you have a friend who has their own switch and opposite copy of the games or Nintendo Online, it's basically impossible to get the shiny charm, due to lack of GTS. They had ONE new method for shiny hunting, and it's already basically useless...

Rookidee x2 Scorbunny Sobble Eevee x2 Though I haven't managed to score a foreign Ditto rather foreign versions of the Pokemon I shiny bred. What irked me is having to pay for a Nintendo Online subscription to use the Surprise Trade to make these shinies possible even if it is reasonably inexpensive. Right now I'm trying out the raid shiny manipulator for a shiny G-Max Charizard.

I noticed he didn’t showcase this, but I think I know how to get a shiny starter. To get a shiny starter: 1. Go to route 9 to get your water upgrade for the Rotom Bike. 2. Go to the northern part of the wild area and go east to the Lake of Outrage. 3. Find and catch a Ditto. 4. Take your starter and the Ditto to the nearby Pokémon nursery. 5. Wait for an egg to come. Repeat steps 4-5 if failed. Now as I said, I’m not sure if this is correct. Though I believe it is. You can go to the hotel on the left of the fountain at Circhester and go up a floor and go through the 1st door on the left to reach Morimoto, and beat him in a battle to gain the Oval Charm, which will make the process faster.

With the introduction of the fastest bike in the series to date, using the Masuda Method to hatch shiny Pokemon has never been faster - especially since Sizzlipede has Flame Body. This method is done by breeding two Pokemon, each from separate languages. *I have several questions:* 1) For the higher encounter rate, (not the higher shiny chance, just casual total encounters of a specific pokemon) do you have to chain? If you encounter a different Pokemon and run from(or battle) it, does it reset the chance at encountering the one you're looking for more often, or is this permanently set depending on how many you battle, too? 2) for "!" Pokemon, who don't have overworld models, can THEY be brilliant, too? For example, Impidimp does not appear in the overworld, but can it still be brilliant? And without catching it, is there a way to tell? 3)Are there abilities or items, like Magnet Pull(Increases encounter rate of steel types by 50%), that will increase my chances of encountering Impidimp specifically?

It's basically the same though. The only difference is you don't have to chain them. Which in my opinion is much better since it was waaay too easy to inadvertently break a chain in Let's Go, especially when you were hunting smaller Pokemon in tight areas with bigger ones like certain areas of Mt. Moon.

From what I can tell, it’s a single gift Charmander given to you after you beat the main story. I got it and when I checked the Pokédex for the natural habitat it came up empty.

The Increassed Chance only has a 3% chance of working each encounter, If you have the Shiny Charm and defeated 500 Pokémon your chance will roughly be 1/1829... altough that is just a number i found while doing some calculations so there may be some inconsistancies
