The comments on Caring Corrupted were disabled so I'm just going to leave my comment here. I thought it was a very good documentary but was surprised at the last five minutes when it suddenly went into modern euthanasia. I think there is definitely a discussion to be had about euthanasia and eugenics in our time, but it felt like modern euthanasia was being compared to the holocaust. Euthanasia in the Netherlands is not done by nurses but by a physician with the written approval of another physician. Euthanasia is also only possible if the patient had explicitly requested it (multiple times) when they were of clear mind. Furthermore, the patient has to be continuously and permanently suffering. I personally think it is quite a privilege to have control over your own death like this. I was kinda hoping for a discussion in the comment section of the doc.
