*NEW* Intercity 125 Livery 43002 at Bath Spa! Original HST livery

Over the previous weekend 43002, a HST power car for Great Western was unveiled at St Philips Marsh depot wearing its original livery of Intercity 125 from 40 years ago. The power car is still wearing the fantastic, original livery in passenger services so look out for 43002 around the Great Western network. In this video you see a few shots from onboard the service departing Bradford-On-Avon then a video of it departing Bath Spa on the rear of the set. This was filmed on May the 4th 2016 and the service was the 17:06 from Paddington to Bristol via Trowbridge. Shame it hasn't got one of the original Paxman Valenta engines in it, but still looks great ;)

Great video. Reminds me of how I love to poke my head out of the window & get all the atmosphere of riding on the iconic Intercity 125. Been told off more than once by some grumpy guard not to do it LOL.

Great to see the original BR livery on the last loco, still love the blue and grey BR coaches, think it must be a nostalgic thing. I can remember as a boy seeing the intercity 125 for the first time and and in awe of it.

I suspect it is permanent until 43002 either ends up in preservation (in which case it'll most likely stay), transfers to ScotRail (in which case it'll be replaced with Saltire) or is scrapped (which I hope doesn't happen).

I'm wondering... why didnt they paint the full set in the same colour... I know they get re-marshalled but it looks as weird as it would look when it would be re-marshalled..
