And that's with companies that already have 100s of employees and much higher budgets than this Invincible project. That's just the sad reality of how it is nowadays.

And with them being able to create the game in their own image and having the creator by there side I think could be a really good game. And open world games are what really made gaming popular in the first place back in the early 2000’s and late 1990’s. Some people like to savor a game and live in it or that universe that they hold dear, by wasting that potential just for it to be a fighting game so that tryhards who compete for money to be happy, ruins the fun of gaming and turns into something not enjoyable. If have such a problem with it, I suggest you go play MK1, and be happy with Omni man.

Honestly the only way I can see this working is a open world type of game which has phases from the series which changes over time and you slowly unlock/lose characters based on where you are in the story and a pvp mode could easily be added, the game could easily have destructible environments and certain events that trigger huge map changes and with the animation style it could have clean solid graphics and be easy to run, they could even bring out DLCs if priced right and if it’s a constantly upgrading game that has a lot of free content it will gain a hugeeeee following
