I’m seriously disappointed for the $300 price difference on the pros that we didn’t get titanium on the 5.1 mm 13 inch. I feel like titanium would’ve easily justified. The extra $100 price delta compared to the non-pros size relative costs and at the same time would’ve put the rest any reservations people had about durability. The fact that Apple just casually charges an extra $100 on the pros that are already more expensive just seems like a pure unapologetic cash grab.

This is all great fun, but in the real world many people are going to have some sort of semi-hard protective case on it and, when carrying it in a backpack or bag, it's never going to bend or get damaged. I've got a 2017 iPad Pro that I've packed tightly into a cramped backpack and taken it on dozens of flights and it's still in perfect condition.

In the days of the iPhone 4 I was in a bar and the woman next to me had a 4 that was severely bent. Like way, way more than these. The screen was separated and cracked. You could see the motherboard in the back. Yet she was using it like it was nothing. When she put it down on the bar you could see how extreme the bend was. Just incredible.

The iPads with the older design already had their logic boards in the middle acting like a spine. Those iPads had a very common problem. Eventually they’ll have white vertical lines and spots on the screen. But those iPads still had Retina LCD tech so I guess that won’t be an issue with these newer iPads with OLED screens? Hopefully not!

You may not bend your iPad but you will keep it in your backpack. Hell, even my M1 iPad Pro was bent in my backpack. I would’ve never purchased it had I seen a video like this one. Under what circumstances would the iPads be subjected to bending forces like these during use? It should ordinarily be in its folio or in your backpack or something normal like that. Unless if Spider-Man hurls it across the room maybe.

11:24 OLED is flexible unlike the Mini LED. So as long as nothing pokes the OLED screen, it will work perfectly even when bended.... Aka how foldable phones works.

This just may be me, but I think most people who are able to actually buy an iPad Pro wouldn’t really put their devices through such a test.. most iPad owners would keep them relatively safe and protected. Not sure of this bend test is necessary..

To be honest, even though these iPads are super expensive, it is worth the money. The build quality is good. You're getting dual display, tandem display, a good processor. It's just worth it than any other tablet out there. Samsung, you know, or so on. Apple is just the best. It's worth it.

If you have incidental damage, it covers anything you can break it literally in half. As long as you have the iPad and it matches your apple care+ it will be replaced after your deductible

I understand when you have a product that is really, really good, you need to find ways to refresh it to create demand for sales. But I'm honestly just baffled why Apple insists on making the design thinner. People would be much more interested in a thicker iPad that had more battery, more storage, more pencil options, more ports, more screen space, more audio enhancements, more software enhancements. Apple made a product that will sell in spite of it's new thin design, but nobody actually wanted it to be this thin.

I know this is a bend test to test the durability of the iPads but it still hurts to watch especially knowing how expensive they can get 😂 If anything this taught me that the newer iPads takes a lot of pressure to bend. As long as the iPads have extra protection with the keyboard/folio, screen protector and well maintained, these newer iPads should last a long time.

That’s actually pretty good - Whatever they did with the spine it worked. Think that puts a lot of worries to bed. Even Jerry Rig couldn’t bend it Horizontally.

I have an iPad Pro and a MacBook Air, I love the way both operating systems works independently. I’m wondering what if Apple bought MacOS Catalyst apps for iPadOS like they for iOS Catalyst apps for macOS, that would a better alternative rather than bringing MacOS to iPad or iPadOS having dual boot mode. macOS Catalyst apps on iPadOS would require an iPad with M Series chip and keyboard while developers can add Apple Pencil support iPad version of macOS Catalyst apps. I hope Apple brings MacOS apps to iPadOS as Catalyst apps, that way Apple can keep both iPadOS and macOS separate as well as makes pro users happy
