Haha I'd love to but I gotta have the money first! Hoping I can do it myself. Had my dash out and did a bunch of measurements to figure out the best way to mount it. Going to try and recess it into the opening and not screw up the wood grain.

DOUG! - IMPORTANT QUESTION: You mention connecting the iPad to your head unit. I’ve done this install and I love having the digital connection to my head unit except for one issue: My iPad Air 2 does not charge fast enough to stay charged when connected to my Pioneer head unit. The battery is always slowly running down to 0%... DO YOU KNOW OF A WAY TO KEEP THE IPAD CHARGED WHEN CONNECTED TO THE HEAD UNIT??? Please help.

Doug just so you know the iPad Mini with Retina is 0.3mm thicker then the original iPad Mini... I really do hope it fits straight into your float mount, that means it will fit mine too!
