I am feeling the same way, my 13pro is seriously in mint condition, I've been over charging it to get the battery health below 80% so I can take her to apple & get a new battery. It seems to me that people will only consider a change to the physical design as an upgrade. People didn’t seem to mind going from the 5s to the 6 even though it’s only notable difference was that it was flatter, rounder and bigger. There where only minor camera upgrades back then. Now we’re getting slightly bigger screens much better cameras an extra quite useful button and then all the upcoming ai features what more do you want? It’s a shame they don’t ship with the ai features but hay ho.

you know what I love about apple's "Pro" phones? maybe I am a bit misguided here but it seems their idea of "Pro" is simply limited to creatives and I feel their product does a huge disservice to other pros in other sectors. Remembering the genesis of the smartphone, and the people who genuinely needed the functionality of those phones and to see those features take a back seat to MOAR CAMERA is sorta ridiculous. Something as simple as their calculator, up to opening large excel files on the go. improvements in word processing and using spreadsheets.. maybe I didn't carry my laptop and want to make changes to a visualisation or dashboard I created. It's like the idea of professional for them doesn't pass a limited scope. And it's not just about being able to do these things but having personally tried to open a large workbook on my iPhone, trust me.. a return to basics, reimagining and reinvigorating the essence of the smartphone would solidify them, rather than the same gimmicky nonsense they release each year. Calendar, sucks. Calculator, sucks. Mail app, sucks. Keyboard, barely passable. Office suit, abysmal.. A pro phone only for one profession, content creators. laughable.

We’re reaching peak phone really - Not loads that they can improve on, the only major next improvement is cameras and face id under the screen. Anything under 13 Pro Max it’s worth the upgrade for 120hz alone. But after that, nah maybe from the 13PM it’s a good upgrade for camera upgrades but that’s about it.
