NEW JC CHIP Method iPhone 13 Pro Max TrueDepth Camera REPAIR! Full Step by Step Face ID Fix Tutorial

If your Face ID is not working, here's what it takes to repair. On iPhone 13 models, the Face ID module has been redesigned. So the process to repair it has changed.
The Dot Projector & IR Camera has now been combined into basically 1 component. And to repair it, we have to first, read the original data with the JC V1S, replace an IC with a special JC Dot Chip, then write the original data onto the chip with the JC V1S
The tricky part of this whole thing is separating the module from the bracket.
Alignment is also tricky due to the design & no jigs available at the moment.

Is this more efficient than replacing the entire face id and front camera ? What's the purpose of replacing that small chip?

This was the only available method to repair True Depth Camera at the time. Right now, yes, you can replace the True Depth Camera but only IF you purchased it from the Apple Self Repair store. You can't just plug in any replacement part

My face ID doesn't display this message, but.. my face ID just fails. I try memoji and everything and it seems to work. I reset my face ID, it has a hard time detecting my face. I slap the face of my phone on my hand a few times and it starts working. It seems like there may be loose wires or something in my phone, or either a chip failing somewhere. Any advice? I hate to go pay $600 to have this fixed on an iPhone 13 Pro Max, or go buy a new one when this phone has otherwise worked fine.

Yes the phone will work fine without face ID. Just no face ID functionalities
