44:50 I recall a fairly senior conductor on one of the early Jersey Ave trains who had such a shift. As I understand it, he'd work his way eastbound to NYP then go over to this fulltime job in real estate and then later in the day he'd work a westbound train home. Not sure how true this story is but, not a bad hustle if I say so myself. LOL!

U.S 202 goes everywhere, lol! I live near it, but take it long enough you could end up at most of the New Jersey Transit Lines, the Danbury Mall, the King of Prussia Mall and a lot of New England. Got to love 202!

Great video! Sounds like you are going back out to spend some time on Caltrain again soon. I was out there in late May. Burlingame is a great place to watch the evening commute rush, with about every third train stopping and crossings on both ends.

They have 4 to handle hourly service. Still, during rush hours they don’t run many opposing trains to the rush hour current of traffic.

Hi, I'm in the UK and I really enjoyed your video, thank you. I was especially interested in the Arrow III mu's since at first glance I thought, these are like Budd 'Silverliners' and it was a shock to discover that they were GEs, albeit I can't help feel that GE have based their design on 'Silverliners'. The Branch-line is just one big Sylvan setting - beautiful.

Tim, I watched the 2024 Belmont Stakes Saturday, June 8 at Saratoga Race Course on TV. I've been up to Saratoga Springs years ago. It's gorgeous up there. I'm sure you've seen it. Will the LIRR Belmont station be rebuilt? I rode and filmed on color movies years ago of LIRR MP-54 trains at the Belmont station.

prospect is a great spot but some of the foamers there are unbearable (not the ones you met luckily). also the one time you go to the gladstone branch I’m not in town, oh well. it’s quite literally my daily commute when school is in session. also if you ever wanted to ride the gladstone branch again, take train 430 on a thursday or friday. engineer greg is a longtime railroader and he’s pretty friendly. gladstone branch runs are typically reserved for some of the most senior crew members. the 430 crew has been on that rotation for at least 2 years now.

Yeah prospect is such a bad spot on the Lehigh line Some foamers like to cause trouble by throwing rocks at the trains and blinding the crews with flashlights And sometimes they get neglected a lot but I ain't apart of that... Cool video though

What type of voltage does the northeast corridor run on? And my second question would be does all trains out of Hoboken run off different voltage than the northeast Corridor?
@3985uprr6 ай бұрын
12.5 kV and 25 kV on ne corridor. When the electrification out of Hoboken was modernized in the 80s, it was upgraded to 25 kV and they kept it that way.

I’m sure you already know this but those Arrow IIIs are soon to be replaced by the new MultiLevel IIIs (which will also be EMUs). Not sure what they’ll do about the Princeton Branch though since that only runs with two cars max and it seems the new cars will run in a set of three cars minimum

I look forward to the arrival of our new Multi-Level electric Arrow MU cars. I'm suggesting that we keep a handful of the old Arrow III MU cars for the Princeton Dinky and keep some in dead storage at the MMC as spares. There's plenty of room at the MMC and in Morrisville.
