We’re in a time of over saturation in the music industry and everyone has the ability to release new music almost on a daily basis (as evident by the week of the battle). But the reason Dot stands out from the rest is because he actually takes his time to craft his projects. That’s how it was done before streaming platforms, and that’s how HE continues to function. I’m so sick of the average consumers who complain about why certain artists take so long to release new music. If you’re a real fan, you’ll be patient for the artist to take their time to create timeless, high quality music. Not Like Us was more than likely produced in less than two days. I saw the breakdown from channel called Deleted who broke down not like us video and he mentioned that Kendrick might drop on 8/8/24 reason being it’s emancipation day and is related to culture as we’ve seen Juneteenth and 4th of July. Also, this date is on kendrick’s jacket in NOT LIKE US VIDEO. It has to mean something!
