I was just shocked about the Bigbox when you mentioned about the keyboard set. Wondering ' what might have inside that box' 😅. But man they sent you a lot of extra switches. And you are correct about the old-school physics formulas. Include math also

The switch tester is a simple board that holds switches and with the prong/tweezer tool that came in the keyboard box, you can pull out the switches from the board and put in the different switches that they sent you. The switch tester is for you to test different switcher and see how they sound and feel without having to change all the switching in your keyboard. You can even use the extra keycaps that they sent you to put onto the switch tester board to see how the switches sound and feel! Hope this helped :)

Hi! Great video! I'd just like to clarify the switch tester. As a person in the keyboard hobbyist scene, the switch tester is what it says, a mere switch tester. Most of the people in the hobby scene usually place an assorted piece of switches and sometimes they'll also add keycaps on it to test the switches. Some also use the switch tester as a "lubing station" to put disassembled switches piece by piece for easy assembly after lubing. I hope that sort of makes sense! :)

I don't have that keyboard, but I recently changed my switches in my Keychron V1 to those Bluebird switches and they are amazing. I'd recommend changing out a few switches to the others you got to see which you prefer, linear/tactile etc.

Hey marko, I usually do not like Day in the life of a software engineer vlogs as I believe they aren't the real truth. I am a SWE myself so maybe that's why. But your videos are the only thing I love to watch anytime I can. I have always wanted to use your onemenu application but sadly my organization doesn't allow 3rd party downloads so I'm stuck with using your codertype. I've made it famous among all my SWE friends (the small bunch that they are). Lastly, I wanted to say that when I was about to graduate, I was scared to step into the job world and that I would fail. Hey Marko! Thanks for creating such great contents for us! Oako is having Black Friday sales at the moment and I plan to get the Alive Oak Desk but with the Mahogany color. You seem to have Natural Alive Edge instead of Cut Straight Edge and I plan to try that out, what do you think about the Natural Alive Edge now after been using it for a while or would you just prefer Cut Straight Edge? :)

Hey Marko, I've noticed siginificant improvment in your video editing and narrating through. You now play with sound, (increasing and decreasing volume, smooth ending volume tracks and resuming them later when the action picks up). You added macro shots, entwined b-roll and worked in some camera movement. The shots are great as well! It really caught and pleased my eye and it's great work Marko keep it up! You should consider buying a gimbal, one that can be controlled via bluetooth in order to set the desired movement of camera. It will eliminate any drag especially when shooting macro. It must be pain in the ass shooting macro handheld! P.S. Great music choice!

Well, your videos make me motivated an jealous at the same time :D. I am a geospatial engeneer and cartographer and I have been teaching myself programming and software eng. casually for two years now. I would like to casually say: "I just liked my fork as a dependency." Lot of times it's very hard for me to even understand how to use the library. What I struggle with the most is probably how to structure my code. Or when Iam readig code from other, how to know their structure. Is there any guide, book or else or is it more or else up to each person how he does it. Hope it's not a dumb question. Cheers

I also don't get what this "switch tester" was since usually they'll come in a variety of switches for the buyer to try each one out (see Gateron's as an example) but the one you received was the "Ajazz AS Switch Tester" which just seems like a set of red linears to me lol. Either way, you should be able to grab any switch puller lying around and test the other switches you got on the acrylic holder!

Haven’t checked it yet, but for my experience the “switch tester” is a kind of plate that you can put in your switches to see how they sound like, and also type like without taking the real keyboard apart. You can also mount different switches on there, kind like a relaxing toy to me

So they sent you all those switches and extra keycaps so that you can swap the switches from the switch tester add some keycaps and test them out before you commit to a kind of switch on the keyboard. Have fun exploring the world of mechanical keyboards, it a wild ride.

Hey there. One question, how did you find the source of this bug in a large codebase? I tried to implement a feature in vscode but I got lost.

Oh great question! I also looked around the vscode codebase, and from what I saw it's significantly more complex than this physics engine... But to answer the question, at first I noticed that the motion was jerky for some physics bodies if I used the interpolatedPosition and interpolatedQuaternion properties. Then I did a search on Github, and luckily it turned out they are being used in only a handful of places, and only one of them was writing to it. So from there I had to dive a bit deeper and I noticed that the jerky motion was caused by the fact that in some cases the interpolatedPosition and quaternion had the same value in 2 sequential frames. So from there I noticed that in some cases the loop in that function didn't execute at all, because of the wrong exit condition, and that was the "off-by-one" error I found. So after fixing that, I cleaned up the rest, and wrote a test 😃

Hey I will share why in my next vlog, which is actually dropping very soon, I already recorded it 😃 Basically I wanted to make it easy to pick up and available to anyone with a browser, without installation. Also there is something really cool I hacked together using WebRTC but I will not give any spoilers here 😃 Generally I feel like unity and unreal and godot are very powerful if you need a lot of world building and content creation in your game. But for my game, I want to make a level editor that ships with the game itself, so I kind of don't need the unity or unreal editor tools as much.
