Overall you’re very well prepared! It’s evident you love Cheese and want the best for him. Tip to curtail furniture scratching, have scratching posts and mats throughout your house/apartment. That way he has plenty of places to go scratch at rather than the furniture and you have lots of spots to which to redirect his attention. Also, be careful with those foam toys, he could easily tear off pieces and swallow them. My cats love felted wool toys and Kong makes this blueberry pie toy with “blueberries” that my cats/kitten go nuts for! Also, anything that’s a ball. I have ones made specifically for cats, plastic with bells, felted wool, fluffy puff ones and they are all played with a great amount! I absolutely LOVE stainless steel litter boxes. They may seem “bougie” and expensive, but, they last pretty much forever so break down the cost of them over years and they come out a lot more economical than plastic ones which ideally should be replaced yearly because of micro tears that happen over time that will hold onto bacteria and odors. Stainless steel is also a lot healthier for those reasons, and also, better for the earth overall. Also love Crystal litter and will use nothing else! I have found it works best over other types of litter. As far as absorption and odor control it’s just superior when used as instructed. As for kitten/cat food, Wellness if pretty decent but I look for dry food with no by products and meals as they are healthier. I use Orijen kitten and cat dry food. Also their Original Cat dry food is good for cats and kittens. Bixby is another brand that contains no meal, but it had no organ meat. You could offset that by choosing a wet cat food that has organ meat such as Tiki Cat After Dark, I and love and You, Nulo, and some other high end brands. Rawz, Is another brand with no meal. It contains meat, no meals, and also organ meat which is essential for cats. Chewy and Petco both carry it. I think Petco has a very good price on it. Last is a water fountain. It aids in keeping your cat hydrated a lot better than standing water in a bowl. Best of luck to you and Cheese!

Thank you!! This is all very helpful information! Unfortunately, I gave him wet food once and he immediately threw it all up😂 so I’ve been sticking to hard food. Thanks for the recommendations!

You could try "instinct" raw if you want a kibble and "Viva" raw (which tends to be more expensive because it is raw wet food) so you could try to feed half wet, and half dry food. Hope this helps!

I have a cat I’ve had five this is my fifth one but he stays outside for now but once Il and get him neutered and rehome my dog and my Guinea pigs he will be able to come in
