11:00 Lots of opal in Australia, where I live. As a kid, my parents had a random guy (opal prospector, as it turned out) over for dinner. After we ate, he took us kids about ten paces further in the bush, tapped on this boring rock, and inside was THE most beautiful blue/fire opal ever. Right next to where we were camped. Exciting stuff for beginner "rock hounds" like ourselves. Most opal jewellery is called "triplet" which means it's basically a thin shaving/slice or veneer of opal, over other backing, not solid opal. My mother had an opal ring; never allowed to wash up with it on.

Would you be able to do a video showing how you would use those paints. I have most of them and rarely use them because I am unsure of their best use.

It came to my mind that it might be nice to use after coloring fish scales for effect.

Japanese are that way (if they could control it). What you see on the packaging and description, it is what you will get. I think that's why a lot of people love Japanese products, because most of the time, it is as advertised (of course, there are also the few oddballs that don't). This is a very nice review. Although not the main topic of this video, the graphite colours looks really gorgeous! BTW, I hope I don't sound obnoxious to you, but in Kuretake...the ke is pronounced like how you pronounce the word cake, and the Tambi...bi is pronounced like the insect bee, and not bicycle bi. Hope it helps you.

I really want the opal set! I already have starry and gem.
@evelynbrown53122 жыл бұрын
Love these paints although I only have the starry ones so need to get more. I watched someone do a comparison with the starry colours and the same colours of Finetec, she was surprised to find they were much the same as the Finetc which had been her favourite. She also let the mica build up at the bottom of the water from cleaning her brushes and used it as a spray once it had settled after pouring half the water out

I came across your comparison video of Chromaflow and Prismacolor. In the beginning you had your dog come on. If I am not mistaken he/she is a Maltese. I have a Maltese poodle. Best dog and my heart. anyway, I could not help but contact you and say Hi from one Maltese to another.

I've been loving your free swatch printable pages so much. It was the only way I could even get all 3 different ohuhu color alcohol marker sets swatched together in as close to perfect color/shade order as possible. So thank you!! It was actually super fun swatching, cutting all 149 out, applying repositionable glue to all 149 little squares and replacing onto a second swatch page. It's sooo beautiful and omg to have them in order and swatched so cleanly and orderly etc made me beyond happy and my coloring soo much easier. Thank you thank you! If you ever want me to send you a copy of what I did you're welcome to use if they're something you'd like. :) keep doing the awesome and generous beautiful things you do! And while I'm not a paid member (yet) because this month has been one of the toughest for my family, I do plan on becoming on in the upcoming weeks just to show how grateful I am more than anything, but the extra printables are definitely an extra wonderful perk. ;) have an incredible week my dear.

Is the interior packaging cardboard? Makes it difficult to mist the paints to activate them. I love the colors though. Opal is an absolutely gorgeous gem. I was introduced to it years ago the first time I visited Australia. I’ve loved it ever since then.

I have been collection thr Kuretake Paints for a year & was so happy to see your review...I love these Japanese-made paints. The new Collection called Art Nouveau has lovely contemporary colors. Many colors in this new Kuretake palette are clone colors of the high end, expensive tube colors made by Daniel Smith I have from 20 years ago. At that time DS was first producing their own line of colors made from rocks & gemstones that were granulating colors, too. Going to put this Kuretake Set on my list for Santa...!

Are you gonna do a giveaway of something similar to this, but it's not your personal supplies, it could be any supplies I would love to have this box plus the Paul Rubens (and the 24 finetec, $68 on Amazon), Komororibi 24 set Are the other minor changes I would make if I was making this dedicated to metallic watercolors. Keep Creating Amazing Art!

the paint with the real silver makes me want to question...doesn't silver tarnish? does that mean what you paint with that color will also tarnish?
@frau-rembo2 жыл бұрын
I don't know why, but on my screen the opals swimmer on the white paper a totally different way than they are called. Like, blue shimmers in golden, and green shimmers in violet. On all other 3 papers they do not do it this way, pink is pink and green is green.

Metallics are ok for lettering and stuff like that but I find they detract from actual artwork unless it's very minimal. I think having this many is REALLY overkill tbh.

This question is prob dumb but, if I print from an ink jet on watercolor paper does the paint make the ink bleed? I can't do printables for marker art cause I only have an ink jet but I'd like to practice the watercolors I have on printables if I can, I'm afraid of ruining my coloring books with em so I'd like to scan and print extras for paint
@CaityRaindrop2 жыл бұрын
+ could you do a tutorial on coloring opals with pencils? It's such a unique color scheme, I find it so much easier to do digitally
