I’ve got your same issues I had no bags or discolouration , then I started having eye issues, I ended up at Nero Ophthalmologist he found a big brain tumour, within days I went under the knife for 14 hrs, they got the tumour, I somewhat recovered and perhaps 2 months later when I looked in the mirror I had huge bags, black/blue everywhere & sunken eyes (a real nightmare!) now I’ve been watching videos to figure out how to cover & I’ve come to the conclusion you can fix the colour but the bags will always be there. Love the in depth review on this concealer (not even going to attempt the name haha)! ⭐️Concealer hack: Dot the concealer where you need most coverage and let it sit for 30 seconds to 1 minute, then blend in. Letting it set a bit will help you achieve a lil more more coverage. 😘💕

Hey girl! Best way I can describe the pronunciation in English (Canadian) is this: TEE-uhn(t) = most emphasis on the TEE... Light on the "uhn"... Almost no "t" (or no t at all to be more specific). Pump it into a verbal translator on Google and she'll give you a somewhat reasonable audio! Hope that helps! P.S... I'm 41, and starting to see fine lines and crows feet, and I absolutely love this Lancôme line!

I love that concealer. My shade is 215. I’ve used it as a foundation as well and it is best foundation I’ve tried in a long time. I also love the Clinique Airbrushed concealer. I’m 71 but don’t have much discoloration and mild crepiness

​@@TheHoodedLid So what is your current favorite? Also have you considered surgery to remove your bags OR tear trough fillers? I had surgery when I was 30 to remove the excess fat causing bags in my undereyes but now at 51 I have excess loose wrinkly and crepey skin underneath instead. And like you my dark circles are RED due to the skin being thinner causing blood to show through. Any corrector and concealers I've tried only makes my wrinkles show up way worse and I cannot put even the tiniest amount of powder to set my undereye or its crepe paper city. I'm considering finding a way to get another blepharoplasty surgery this time to remove excess skin from my upper and lower eyelids. I just dont have the money. Some people say that Retin A or Retinols help but I don't know which of those can be put on the skin around the eyes to repair the wrinkles, have you had any luck with any eye care products that reduce crepeyness, texture and wrinkles around the eyes? What's your Holy Grail eye serum/cream concealer?

I’ve had a similar experience with products Angie loves and recommends. My skin and environment are just too dry to do well with products that suit oily or combo skins. Both concealers look quite good on you. I’ve learned to be content with coverage that is ok and not great. I’ve got too much going on under my eyes to achieve much better than ok.

Climate is another element that's so important! I think I mentioned it in a skincare video recently. No matter your skin type - where you live can dictate a lot about what your skin needs!

I think the Clinique looked significantly better on you. Angie is a gift to women over 50, and I rely on her advice. Having said that Angie does not have a lot of undereye issues. Her discoloration is higher up on her eye and she seems not to have any eye bags. My under eye issues are similar to yours. Recently I have been using the Chanel LE CORRECTEUR LONGWEAR CONCEALER, which I find provides a good balance of coverage and skin-like appearance. But, I powder it a bit with the IT Cosmetics Translucent loose powder which helps prevent cracking throughout the day. Questions: On Day 2 what was the Charlotte Tilbury product you were using on your left eye? Did you use in over/under the Lancome concealer or instead of it?

I agree about Angie - that's why I wanted to do my own review since so many women have more "issues" under the eye than she does and of course many women have more issues than I do! I used the CT under the Lancome concealer. Since the video was so long - I tried to cut it to the bone so people could get an idea of what I was doing without having to sit through it all. Sorry if that wasn't clear!

The Clinique is thicker, but not drying. The Lancome WITH the Tilbury corrector = great coverage. Alone, though, not quite as much as I'd like.

I tried a sample of this concealer. It wasn't an immediate hit but I'll try it again in winter when I wear more makeup. It felt too much for summer. I'm one notch fairer than you and shade 110 was perfect for me. I'm excited for the review on the Chanel Foundation!! The ultra le teint velvet is one of my favourites.

I’ve actually never worn concealer! I take a light pinkish blush and blend it in the corner of my eyes an across the bridge of my nose which immediately gives me a healthy, wide awake look. It also looks more natural on me! 🥰🌈🦋🌺🌺🌺

Thank you for the thorough review. I concur with your findings except that on me it looks and wears better without setting. If I’m being picky the only fault I find with this concealer is that I wish it had a bit more coverage. However, I’m willing to sacrifice a little coverage for the highly skinlike finish (which I have never found in another concealer).

I have very cool pale fair skin with purple under my eyes from broken red capillaries and blue veins that show through the skin. Despite my cool tone skin, I use warm concealers with a yellow hue to color correct for the purple under my eyes.

You do the same thinking I do when applying makeup under my eyes, I think it affects the texture. You pull down with your mouth on the side you’re applying, which stretches the skin while you’re applying. Then the makeup settles in when the skin settles back. I’ve never really realized.

I tried a different Lancôme concealer last year and it was awful, which has kind of put me off Lancôme. But, I’ve been hearing so much about this one that I’m definitely intrigued. As I get older concealer becomes more and more important but it’s hard to find something that I can use all under the eye to even out my skin. Next time I go to ulta I will check this out. I like the Lancome one. I also like Angie, but her suggestions are too drying for me. But, I like this one. Also, one that not too many KZbinrs like, but I LOVE is the Clinique concealer. It's probably my favorite foundation and concealer. I have been blessed with good skin, but I do have redness on my left side. You might want to visit a dermatologist because I was surprised to find out that my redness is actually psoriasis.

The same for me. Often times products she doesn't like are winners for me and her loves are usually drying on me. That's part of the reason I started my channel. There are many people I love to watch - but no one was recommending things that work on me. I have such a hard time with lancome foundation some concealers I don't know if they've changed over the years because I haven't checked into them but everything was yellow all the undertones were yellow but when I go up to their sister company L'Oreal that's not the case they have every color imaginable for pale skin

I think you need to try a different color for Lancome. I have been loving Lancome concealer but I use the same color you chose, 260, but my skin tone is more tan than yours. I have more of an eyebag issue than darkness, and this concealer blurs the eyebag shadows really well.

I also have the hollowness under my eyes, have you ever thought of trying filler, I think about it but to afraid to go for it, concealers have gotten to the point where they look worse than better under my eyes, so I just stick with foundation, thanks for video.

I'm not sure mine are hollow - I think they are so puffy, above that are, it's looks hollow. I wonder if that puffyness was gone, my eyes might actually be pretty normal. I have though about getting the fat dissolved - but it scares me. What if something went wrong? What if it is uneven, what if they hit a nerve? I can go on and on!

My standard Lancome shade 110 is much too warm in the new line, and I haven't been able to find a color match. I placed an order for Patrick Starr's Turn Up the Base Butter Silk Concealer, which should be arriving today. It's supposed to be creamier, fuller coverage, and a one-layer application. No matter the process I use, I cannot get the CT concealer to play nice. Eventually, it always separates and makes the concealer look worse.

Have you tried using a color corrector? In order to cover the darkness under the eye a color corrector before concealer is truly the best way to cover the darkness. I have the CT in medium, but it is a bit drying under the eye. The new Nars looks more hydrating and the light shade looks to be the closest match to my CT. Have you tried mixing the Lancome and Clinique concealers to get a perfect shade and coverage? I always use two tones under the eyes and on my face. I think they would look nice mixed. You showed some pretty eye looks in this video. Good for you for trying some new techniques! 👌 😘😄❤ Keep up the good work. 👍

Even though you are very fair (like me), shade 2 is best for the dark blue/green tones under the eyes. Do you find it a bit drying under the eyes? I really want to order the Nars color corrector in light and compare them. It looks similar in tone, but much smoother and more hydrating. Have you tried it yet? Can you sample it? We don't have it in our stores. Online purchase for me, so I was wondering if it it worth it. 😉 😄❤

I have a question, and hopefully you will read it and help me and give some input. I am ‘of age’ and the eyelids are ‘textured’. Now, I put primer on and then a try the powder thing but when I do the eyeshadow it is like it is doing a hop-skip. I try to apply it gentle and hardly any pressure but nothing is nice and smooth. Any suggestions?

I have the same issues - if it's "wet" on the lid - it's really a chore to get a good blend. It it's "dry" (maybe powder over concealer) it can make the lid look much "dryer." I find using as little as you can for a primer/concealer and a light, light powder over it is helpful. It's also helpful to use good shadows. Viseart makes shadows that work very nicely with older lids!

I just bought this and I was wondering what you'd think of this new concealer. This concealer is very forgiving on mature eyes. I liked it very much but I still think the Jouer concealer covers more and lasts longer.

@@TheHoodedLid I noticed it too but I make sure to moisturize the under eye area first before applying it. BTW I enjoyed seeing the colorful eyeshadow looks you were wearing in the wear test.

@@cnsun17 Yes, I always put on some kind of undereye cream - I can't imagine how much worse it would be without it!

Maybe 215N Buff would be better, colour-wise? Thanks for doing this extensive test and review! Have you tried the Dior? I like the Clinique, but have been loving the Dior…. I’m very dry - all over. I’d like to try this, but how many concealers can one (non-KZbinr) have and use up? I’d like to finish at least one of the tubes I have open before I try a new one (cause if I love it, the others will just sit and go bad….)…but I am influenced 😊😉

You mean the BIG Dior? I have tried in store ages ago. Maybe I'll pick up a sample of that and do a round up of that and the Two Faced and a few others.

I wouldn't say it's earthshaking ... but it's skin-like - which I appreciate, and it's no drying - which I really appreciate.

I recently bought this Lancôme concealer and it smelled strongly of paint or alcohol does yours smell too? I’m too lazy to go back to the store and ask but I can’t wear it and I usually am not bothered by smells lol

It looks like you have way less of a shadow on the Clinique side and so your "trough" shows less. Thanks for the comparison!

You have a very pretty face… just saying!! It’s very feminine. I was about to buy more Bobbi Brown corrector when I found this video. Tell me, do you prefer Charlotte Tilbury corrector over Bobbi Brown’s? Oh, it’s later in the video and I just love your eyeshadow looks! Colorful eye looks look great on you. I am 65, and I wear colorful looks every day.

Thank you so much! I find that the BB corrector is "stiffer" and and feels thicker on the skin. I feel the CT settles in better and doesn't require much blending. Because of the BB stiffness you really have to work it in - but the skin is so thin and delicate that, I just find to much hassle to try to get it even if that makes sense.

Honestly, your skin and eyes looked better with no make up on then with the make up on. You should keep a bare face with a light tinted moisturizer and Just some blush and mascara.

Part of it has to be due to the fact that it is lighter in color - but the Lancome looks more skin-like. If only they had a baby together!!

The Lancôme concealer looks horrible. It’s the wrong colour and makes you look older. The clinique one is wayyy better
