Wayne Goss's trick to prevent fine lines with a concealer is to moisturize the area, let it sink in for a few minutes, then moisturize again and wait a couple of minutes, then apply concealer.

The brands of course really make claims regarding their products but they do not really work for everyone. I work and have a small business on the side. I also have 3 kids and while I love makeup I really do not have time to play with it. I do my makeup in the mornings because need to and need to make sure products work and will stay put all day. I only have Sundays off and those days I do not apply makeup to give my face a rest, I have makeup on at least 10hrs a day and my skin needs a break. Your videos really help me out pick out products without a lot of guessing and awful makeup up day out in the public trying new products. I do love that you try it and let us know about application as well. Thank you so much for your hard work I really love your channel and hope you grow because more people need to see your videos.

@@Amandahugginkizz It’s not that we “need” makeup but we love it! I think I can say that or we wouldn’t be here watching tutorials 😊 It’s so fun to me, but I have the time to play with it. I don’t wear it every day. Maybe every other day. My go-to is a natural look, lightweight foundations or tinted moisturizers/SPF and simple cream shadows but just that little bit still makes me so happy and feel pretty. 💗 Nor am I insecure without it. I just go with my mood that day. 💕 Most of the time I’m not going anywhere these days and the only one who sees me is my husband but it’s just a little boost. At my age I’m still such a girly girl 😂 🌸

I have the same issue with other concealer. I went to Sephora and they recommended (the best, they said) the Two Faced Born This Way Multi-Use Sculpting Concealer. I have the light-beige. But, I can see my tiny wrinkles after a few hours too. One thing good is it hydrates my undereyes, which I like. I'm thinking of having a surgery in Korea. They do really do good job coz my best friend, husband and sister (they are korean) had it done five years ago. Their undereyes are still look good, no wrinkles or look tired. My friend was younger than me. She was 39 when she had it done.

I really like this concealer, it can be a little matte more then dewy on me but it is pretty. It does remind me a lot of the Dior. I just set it with setting spray and over eye cream and it looks great;) Wonderful review my friend!!!

I cannot thank you enough for getting the camera so up close. I have struggled to find a concealer that makes my under eyes smooth because all the other youtubers had smooth under eyes so I thought I was doing something wrong or that my under eyes were just exceptionally dry and lined. But now I know my eyes aren't even that bad they are just really dry. My eyes are almost exactly like yours and your eyes are gorgeous. Now because of you I know they are normal. And we all get dry under eyes. I'll tell you what's helped me. Every day I put on Gel eye patches. I use the ones from Good Molecules, (because they're more affordable) and I wear those while I'm getting ready, mostly while I do my hair and get dressed because I do my hair last. Sometimes I leave them on for an hour. Lol. But, I do it EVERY day and I've noticed a HUGE difference in my dry under eyes😁 Thank you so much for watching, your support means so much ❤ P.S. I just saw an ad for this concealer featuring Zendaya, and she used only three small dots of it under each eye. So it could be a “less is more” type product. Of course, Zendaya is much younger than us, and probably doesn’t need much coverage! Lol I do like shopping on QVC, so I might have to check out the Tarte Creamy Shape Tape.

Thanks for the video! I’m 53 been using this concealer for a week. Tried different techniques and still it immediately settles and looks drying. I do have very dry skin but I hydrate under my eyes prior to application, just didn’t work for me. I’ll give tarte creamy a try.

The struggle is real with those inner corner fine lines! Like you, I enjoy the Dior and Hourglass, but Shape Tape creamy is my fav as well 🥇I also like Armani for natural days but Tarte just has the best coverage and the best color selection. I wear a honey tone (27H) for the dark circles so I don’t need to color correct separately. As you said it always helps to have less layers. Major props for all the awesome close ups 🙌🏼 and for keeping it 💯 👏🏼 Such a beauty, inside and out 💕

Hi Ally, does the Shape Tape Creamy have fragrance in it? I am so pale that it is hard to find concealers light enough for me. @@MissEMc2 I just smelled the concealers I have on hand: Dior, CT, Armani, Make Up Forever, Hourglass and Nars… They all have some kind of scent. The first three smell like perfume. The other two just have kind of a soapy or makeup smell. Hard to describe but similar to Tarte. I don’t know if you can avoid that. That’s probably why they use perfume, to cover the makeup smell. Have you tried MAC? Typically they have a good shade range and they’re always my go-to when I need unscented makeup.

Ok I completely agree that it accentuates the fine lines as I’m 62. I saw another KZbinr that claimed she thought it was the best for mature skin so I went out to get it but low inventory so I purchased online. Wore it once and thought it even aged me, so felt I looked better without it.🤷🏻‍♀️

It's just NOT wrinkle friendly. I kind of felt alone in my thoughts until I uploaded my review and heard people in the comments saying the same thing. It is similar to what happened with the Tom Ford Shade and Illuminate Concealer. It ages and exaggerates every wrinkle. I'm sorry to hear it didn't work for you either. 😔 personally, my fav Concealer on wrinkles is the Kosas Revealer and Cle de peau. The CDP is pricey, so I reach for the kosas😁❤️

I am not a fan of concealer at all.. at 42 I also have fine lines and I feel like every concealer exaggerates them. I just use a color corrector and apply Dior Airflash foundation over it. Then Charlotte Tilbury powder. That’s been my holy grail.. DIOR AIRFLASH ( especially for summer months) 🥰

I just picked it up! I seem to dislike most concealers that you love. I threw away that Tart creamy shape tape after a few uses. I returned the Hourglass. None can beat NARS radiant creamy concealer on me. I just go back to it. We shall see how this new Lancôme compares.

So I picked up this Lancôme concealer and returned it the following day. It’s terrible! It separates into clumps, it settles thickly in lines, it made very fine lines more apparent, and it didn’t even cover my dark circles. It wore just awful as the day went on.

I love this foundation......I’ve been using it since it was invented. Great coverage for scarring from acne, yet lovely colors which are natural. It is not greasy, thick, or sticky ......a little goes a long way. I’ve strayed a few times, but always come back to it. Highly recommend!

We're exactly the same age, I just purchased this concealer today (shade 90, lightest shade). I also agree it's best to use a corrector before the concealer. I struggled a bit before purchasing because I already have Dior / Chanel concealer (their lightest shade, but they all have different undertone). I also agreed with you that using setting powder in under eye area can make it worse (but at times I can completely pull it off). One more thing worthy to mention is that... the whiter/fair/pale skin you have, the heavier your concealer can look.

I prefer the Dior Skin Correct over this one from Lancome 😁 If you need a great suggestion for a color Corrector, I love the LA Girl HD pro Concealer in the peach. It's affordable, like $5. The small brush on the tip allows for a thin application. You can grab it at Ulta, Target, Walmart etc❤❤ Hope that helps🦋🦋

Hi Tara Let me just say you are a beautiful women. What I can tell you could go all natural like no make up because you have lovely skin. You mentioned after 8 hours you were seeing your fine lines under your eye coming through but what I saw was very natural and normal if you didn’t have those minuscule lines you probably wouldn’t be human😜☺️. I thought it looked quite lovely on you so that being said… your beautiful what ever your using on your face.
