New Leading Left Turn Phase (Protected/Permissive) Being Installed For Kingston Rd at Guildwood Pkwy

A new leading left turn phase (protected/permissive), is being installed for Kingston Rd at Guildwood Parkway for the southwest-bound approach!
As seen in the video, there is just so much oncoming traffic which is probably why the protected/permissive left turn green arrow is warranted.
Because through movements are obviously allowed here for Kingston Rd, I am hoping they remove the existing leading pedestrian interval for Kingston Rd once the new left turn green arrow phase is up and running. If they don't, the northeast-bound approach leading pedestrian interval will probably become adaptive.
