New LED Headlights For The F100!

I put LED's on my '76 F-100, day and night difference from the old bulbs. Highly recommend! The extra wire is for daytime running lights, my lights are a little different from these but there is a row of LED's at the bottom for that function if ya want it.

Looks great. I've been thinking of getting some LED headlights for my Wagoneer. For some reason I actually like them even more on a rusty old truck than on something with shiny new paint. Interesting contrast of old and new technology I guess. Plus you can't beat the performance. Crappy stock headlights are always one of the first things I upgrade on any vehicle I buy that may get driven at night.

The stock ford headlight switch may not be able to deal with the current/amp draw after a while. If your headlights start going on and off with the switch in the on position, low or high beam, the stock switch is overheating. There are headlight relay kits you can install. The relays take the electrical load not the headlight switch.

If you ever go back to the old headlights, (which look better to me), use relays. They'll be a lot brighter because they'll get full voltage..

Rear LEDs. Work on that bed. Not hard to do a axle flip kit and a drop ibeam setup can get like a 3/4 drop can get a kit pretty cheap. Think djm has a kit. Its what I have on my 93 lightning till I do the CV swap and the 4 link with watts link in the rear with coil overs all around. But clean truck man. I just now started following you and saw couple other videos. Keep up the great work. I don't know what you want out of your truck but there's a lot that can be done to the old ones since ain't much there haha

nice lights, but first the old one were sealed beams not halogen, have been enjoying your antics with the truck, at yours in roadworthy as mine is a rolling chassis with engine just waiting on new body

There's some formula about aiming your headlights. I think it's park 20 feet from your garage door and the lights should be 2 feet off the ground. But doing it that close to the wall isn't helpful other than showing when they are whacked out. Nice video.

Think you should swap all your incandescent lights over to LEDs. My friend did it to his 1992 Dodge D150 and it looks good. (Like Signal lights and brake lights and stuff)

do they draw any more current thanthe stock ones? being as this is 6 yrs old, how long did they last before burnout? normal halogens might be a pain if they only last a yr or 2 but if LEDs that cost 5x as much dont even last the same time, its pricey!

Thecraig909 well it's odd, 69's are the only year mustang to use 5 - 3/4 inch headlights. So either they're real expensive, or the stock bucket needs to be modified. Guess i could always go stock. Great content by the way! Cool to see another ford person.

I have a 72 F100 and the headlights after awhile will flicker off and on. Did you have this issue? I read it is because the power flows through the switch and the switch heats up and the contacts expand causing them not to touch. I was thinking if I put in LEDs they would pull less current and tend to not heat up so much. You have any experience with this? Also can I get a link to the lights you bought? They seem to go in pretty easy.

if you pull the bucket and cut the inside bigger the light will go back farther so you dont have to change the bolts. i guess it depends on how comfortable you are with a grinder.
