The only thing I miss is the longer puzzle level design of the 2006 version. The levels in the new one feel way to short and I think adding like a fun hub with the chapter doors would have been a cool idea. Make the open world accessible in the hub as well.

I was gonna say "I think Complete Saga is better" due to red bricks, but after looking back at the footage it looks like extras have been handled the same way so now I don't know, just going to wait for the game and see how good it is myself. And for me The Complete Saga is half a Star Wars game and half a financial game, I love trying to figure out the best way to get all the stud multipliers in the quickest time because after that you don't have to worry about stud problems, you can just buy all the characters you like when you finish the episodes, it makes for its own experience.

One thing I noticed is that at one point in the level you get the opportunity to open an airlock and send a bunch of stormtroopers into space. In the complete saga there’s a part of the first episode 4 level (I think you can only access it in free play) where you can also see a bunch of stormtroopers getting launched into space.

I think I found something. The character in the white dress, although quite obscure, I’d actually called Princess Leia and she appeared in both scenes. This is a fun Easter egg for diehard sw fans and is why lego games are so good

That is such an interesting and neat detail! At 4:40 you can see that the printing on Darth Vader's chest piece actually shifts slightly representing his breathing animation. I'm excited to see if there are any other subtle and hidden details like this when the game fully releases.

The sky walked saga looks beautiful in ever sense of the way. But as a kid growing up in the 2000s though, there is just something I love about the simplicity of the designs of old lego models and figures. It made everything feel more hand made and like I could build it with the parts I have in my bin of legos. I’m certain the sky walker saga will be a better game but I’ll always love the complete saga more

Other details I found: Stormtroopers with headphones on while while Vader interrogates Leia and Antilles. Vader force grabbing Antilles by the leg is a reference to what happens if you force choke a stormtrooper as Vader in the complete saga.

I love the detail that seems to be present in both games, but even more so with this one where the Tantive IV, despite being a much smaller ship than the Star Destroyer, if made with pieces it would be so much bigger than the Star Destroyer, just like how the actual models of the two ships were in the actual movie because iirc the Tantive IV was supposed to be the main ship rather than the millennium falcon

There's also one where in the sky Walker saga in a new hope the story mode there's a mission called that's no moon and eventually in that mission you throw a thermal detonator on to a power thing and it sticks to it just like the complete saga.and I also noticed that the ticking sound on the bomb makes the same ticking sound in the complete saga😁
