Mirror or chrome powder nails is HUGE on social media at the moment, and when I first heard about it I pre-ordered it right away to test! You're supposed to use gel polish that cures under a UV lamp but I personally don't use gel so I tried a gel alternative from the drugstore and I did not use a UV lamp. This is a great tutorial. I build model cars with chrome parts, and most of the kit pieces have mold lines and flash that needs to be removed, then we have to rechrome them. This chrome powder looks better than Alclad lacquer chrome. Thank you for the upload Janelle.

Hey! I'm sure most people won't see this but I found that the Sally Hanson complete salon manicure topcoat will not ruin the finish! It can be found in most drugstores and it comes in a clear bottle with a silver cap!

Im not sure there can be a difference in quality. Look up on KZbin chrome powder comparison. There's a video showing you different brands of the mirror powder including the one from Amazon but I looked on Amazon and I just don't know I go with this one the girl used in the video to be safe. Cost a little More but whatever will see.. 💅🏽

thank you for the reply hun. But, after trying all kinds of topcoats, i did find one that works great. IBD intense seal. it's 100 percent uv, but works fantastic with the chromes 😀😀😀

I bought a revlon polish in the color "silver screen" for cheap and it worked almost as well. I ran out of base coat and top coat but it still stayed for 4-5 days with one coat. Would recommend!

Whooooooa!!! Once I could see the mirror part of your nail coming thru, omg I literally gasped and my eyes were like 😮 lol Soooo cool!!!

I also tried it with regular nail polish (mine is from Crystal Nails) and it worked but the top coat... I'm still searching for the best one. And the drawback that it is sooooo messy, it even got on my desk lamp bulb, and under my eye - even though I wore a mask and my glasses. What... :D My favorite technique is using a flat eyeshadow brush or a dishwashing sponge but I think I have to give the eyeshadow applicator a chance again. (That mirror finish though! Wow! Mine looked nothing like your nails.) I tried setting it with hairspray and then adding a top coat, not a fast drying one (I got the worst results with fast drying top coats...) or even clear polish but it just blurred the effect. I added my BPS Temix peel off base coat as a top coat (it just does not work for me as a peel off base, it peels off the top surface of my nail and it's a struggle to remove) but then it washes off with water, so it's not good either... :/

This video was SO helpful! Ive been wanting to try this powder for a long time but didn't really know much about it. Im excited for your next video!! I don't know if you watch Jefree Star's videos on youtube, but he just did a video talking about his new liquid lipsticks and his nails in that video are to DIE for! I think his type of nails in that video are powder was well, but they're not silver chrome. Idk how to explain it, but I would love if you found something like that and did a video on it!
