Hi everyone. I filmed this video 4 years ago, but many of you are still watching. Unfortunately, a lot of products have been discontinued since I made this video. I have updated the links in the description bar to reflect this. It seems like Zoya has discontinued the Anchor Basecoat. I have used the American Classics Yellow Stopper basecoat and it works really well for this method. It's a little hard to find but you can buy it from Sally's Beauty!

Hi, I don't use gel products, so this video is extremely helpful! thanks! Is American Classics Yellow Stopper top coat the same as base coat? I cant find the base coat at Sally's Beauty.

How do you clean your brush after using the clear Elmer’s glue? This is a great video by the way! I haven’t used my powder since deciding to stop using gel, due to the difficulty of removing and the damage it was doing to my nails…hopefully I can use my powder again with your methods!! Thanks so much!

My Goldmine thanks! Definitely let me know if you do try this out. Unfortunately, this method doesn't last nearly as long as gel does. I actually bought a LED lamp and gel recently. I did some experimenting, and you can definitely combine regular polish with a gel topcoat

For a black nail polish suggestion, you can get funky fingers, because those are great with one coat. But thanks for making this video because its really hard to find nail powder videos without using gel nail polish. As an idea how about you try it with gel like nail polish?
@salty_shelley7 жыл бұрын
I'll give funky fingers a try! I've seen them at my local Five Below. By gel like nail polish, do you mean stuff like Sally Hansen Miracle Gel, Essie Gel Couture, Revlon Envy etc? I do have a few of those, and I find they're pretty much identical to regular nail polish. I feel like it's more of a marketing technique.

@@ashyhutson Is that why the tips look like they lose their polish by the next day?!
@ashyhutson4 жыл бұрын
@@NiaJustNia mine doesn’t so that but I “wrap the tip” so you apply the base coat,nail polish color, and top coat on the free edge of the nail and then apply to the nail bed. This will help it last longer! But when I used SV I would notice that the polish will pull away from the cuticle and side of nail literally shrinking it. I still use sometimes but just something I noticed.
