they do connect but you wont be able to access the new patterns with the infinty controller. The controllers are the same as far as it goes to plugging it in but the software is different. i was using v2 controller on infi fans and i couldnt change the outside light or inside separately. it had to be all the same color/pattern but the controler itself did work.
