@thiscrazylife I found a Keto snack at Publix (it's a grocery store chain in the south) called Catalina Crunch. Chips are one of the things I miss the most since being on Keto and these are a great substitute! I've tried the cheddar mix and the creamy ranch so far and they did not disappoint. It's basically a Keto friends chexmix❤

Wow that’s awesome. Here in the US they give parents a list including paper towels, printer paper, tissues, amongst other supplies. It’s a shame. Plus a lot of children have to pay for lunch……Wanda from Tampa Florida
@Lisa68124 ай бұрын
@@WandaAliceaSanchez I’ve seen many vloggers say that. We are to give our own child any supplies they need, even lined paper, notebooks, Kleenex.. everything. Our schools provide the basics in kindergarten, then once you go to grade one it’s the parents. Strange how the world does things differently. I’m always sad to hear the teachers in the US need to provide these things for the students or that parents buy for the class.

Congrats on your weight loss! I did keto (during pandemic shut down) and lost a lot of add pregnancy weight that I could not shake) and lost 50lbs! I had hair loss/thinning too. I still feel like it’s not back to what I use to have so may try what you’re doing. So thank you for that. Keto is a full commitment and it has its hard days for sure. I had the same where at times I didn’t lose and wanted to stop but then I’d check and bam one more pound down. It’s a gradual loss and that is what I love about it. The body gradually making progress. I’ve stopped but every now and then think about getting back on a partial keto plan. Great job mama!!

I always kept a small basket or tote container in every closet, so whenever the kids or I had clothing or anything else we no longer liked, was stained, had holes, didnt fit, whatever the issue, it could be tossed into that container and every few months it was easy to go through, grab everything up and donate or toss what was unnecessary. Made life soooo much easier ❤

Slim!!! 47 POUNDS!!! You go girl!😊 Okay (you can take this with a grain of salt cuz I’m a menopausal woman who has NOT dropped an ounce) but you should cut the snacking. Every time you eat (snack) your blood sugar levels increase, your pancreas releases insulin and in some “snackers “ can cause insulin resistance, which in turn can hinder thyroid function. Thus when you have Hashimoto’s, it can coexist with insulin resistance, unfortunately. Instead of going off plan when you have stalls, you may want to try throwing your body a curve ball by cutting the snacks and/or switching your intermittent fasting schedule for a couple of days for a month to see if that works. As I see you prepping for school I think back and am thankful for that experience with my children but as I’m old now I am thankful too that those days are behind me. I count it all joy.😊 Oh also on the hair loss, I’m glad you found the vitamins but if you’re not wanting to continue with the expense you should try eating organs. (Heart, liver, gizzards, even beef testicles. Okay so I haven’t tried the beef balls yet but I will let ya know when I muster up the courage. Ha! Ha! 😂) They are nature’s vitamins, nutrient rich and will naturally help with deficiencies. Remember that when your body goes through change, such as weight loss, hair loss is a common side effect. But as you become acclimated to your new lifestyle you should see the hair loss subside on its own. In all my research, I suspect that hair loss is a side effect of insulin resistance. That is why I suspect you may have it along with your Hashimoto’s. Oooo…thanks for the peanut butter hack!❤ I don’t eat it that often but when I do it’s definitely separated. Take care Slim!

My granddaughter goes back to school tomorrow. We're here in Southern California and she lives in San Diego area. All the schools here have different start and stop dates on purpose mostly so the younger and older kids are not all out at the same time (with all their shenanigans lol). I've recently felt the same way with my girls and the hand-me-down clothes. They are 4 years apart, so it takes a while for my youngest to grow into the older's clothes. I just donated a bag of clothing to their school's resource center rather than saving it. Felt so good to declutter but also to provide for someone who needs it! My girls both get some many clothes through out the year from us and grandparents, there is honestly no need to keep much.

Absolute game changers: 1. All socks are the same color for each kid if different sizes. Otherwise, all black or white for easy grabbing and no sorting required. 2. Put peanut butter AND jelly (equal amounts) into a bowl, heat in the microwave to melt, and mix well. Then, spread onto bread while warm. Place back into the bread bag and freeze. This makes the BEST PB&J sandwiches ever ❤

Here in GA school started on Aug. 1. My little one (6 years old) missed the first full week of school due to COVID-19. He was finally able to start back yesterday (8/13/24) so it feels like we're just now starting school. I use sandwich bags and recycle the small sports drink bottles when I make his lunch. He's autistic so I use things that I won't be upset about if they don't make it home. I'm hoping, as he gets a little older, I'll be able to use some of the "cool" lunch box items. I can't wait to try your muffin recipe. We'll probably have them for snacks after school. He LOVES the novelty of having breakfast at school. His autism makes him hyperfocused at times and right now he's focused on eating breakfast with his friends at school. Thank you for all your tips, they really do help with hectic mornings. I make waffles, freeze them, and pop them in the toaster for weekend breakfast. It's a LOT cheaper than buying those other frozen waffles and they taste better too.

You have a completely different energy and you look fantastic. After menopause I couldn’t shift my belly fat and at 66 I thought I never would but following a virus at New Year, I lost my appetite and had to eat to fuel my body, rather than for pleasure, I also found that I couldn’t face food until lunchtime. This shifted my mindset and habits and within 4 months I was down 2 dress sizes and have been able to maintain it. Only eating within a window of 6 hours has allowed my body to metabolise my body fat during the fasting time, I’m amazed by this! I have more energy and feel healthier. Intermittent fasting is definitely working for me.

Hi Amanda, just a bit of advice from me about the Nutrafol, if you want to check your thyroid levels , don't take the Nutrafol for a week, or at least 3 days before you let your blood drawn. The biotine in the Nutrafol gives false thyroidlevels.

Amanda congratulations on your weight loss. I just started on mine. I have been struggling with my weight for a long time now. I'm currently working and going though a lot so it's hard But I know my weight is not helping and I can't keep putting it off.

i remember the hassle of having a two story home with kids...and how they just LOVE to run back upstairs for things they forgot...not. lol. now we are in a story and its such a blessing...but i have always had this basket unit, with 3 attached basket (from kohl's) hung by the kids shoes by our garage exit door...we have 3 kids so each get their own for socks, hats, gloves. it is a total game changer!

@ThisCrazyLife i really love your idea for the play dates with the cards. I think this is something I would really be interested in doing because I have recently moved and my son is going to start school soon and I would love for him to make friends. By any chance do you remember where you had made these cards?

I had them made on vistaprint - I just ordered square business cards
