Ohhhh yay you tried the chantecaille lipstick!!! It looks gorgeous on you, I actually love that shade. Those lipsticks are addictive!! That urban decay lipstick looked stunning & sounds amazing with the longevity. I just looked & it’s out of stock everywhere except Chadstone, so maybe a shopping trip is on the cards haha!! Love this roundup. I would love to try the Hourglass lipsticks! I have to combine the Rare beauty lipsticks with Huda Angel to like the feel. That combo actually makes them amazing!

I am enamored, hopelessly devoted to...one might say obsessed... with Velvet Rain from LE. I also can't get enough of Rouge 8 from Pat's Lunar NY collection. The Gucci red looked killer on you, definitely my fave (I am partial to reds though).

Current everyday lip combos are Lisa Eldridge velvet lipsticks in shades : fawn or intrigue, topped with le mepris in the center, if i want a darker neutral i will go with the shades affair, muse, or rain also topped with le mepris in the center ….. my current holy grail bold lip color is the shade velvet enchantment

Also, it’s not a new release, but I wonder if you would love the formula of the Gucci Glow & Care Shine lipstick,…I have the shade 112 Sally Soft Honey. It is sooo nourishing, it literally healed my chapped lips last winter (in Canada) while also being a pretty lip colour with shine. Only thing is you have to keep re-applying. But worth it in my opinion. I ended up by two more shades! Linnet Stone and Peggy Taupe, gorgeous nudes 👌🏼

Oh good question, I’ve had the different shades for 6 months to over a year now,…so I’m not sure if there was a scent when I first got them, but right now I don’t smell anything at all on them. Also just realized I actually have four shades 🙈 “Call it a Day” is also beautiful - brownish-mauvy-pink

Hello! I enjoyed the video so much, you showed many beautiful lip products 😍 I'm intrigued to try the UD one. Gucci is one of my holy grails, specially A Royal Scandal. I don't have issues with the fragrance or whatsoever but I do understand people complaining about it.

The hourglass lippies are soooooo good. Oasis is my fav BUT if you go into the mid rosey and peachy tones and the darker ones they get darker the longer you wear them. I got flora and it starts out pretty much my lip but better but by tye end of the day its a super dark berry. Thats my only complaint but the formula is A++

So tempted by the Gucci and Hourglass lipsticks! Not sure I’d be able to hack the fragrance with the Gucci though. Do the Gucci blushes have a lot of fragrance? They’re another thing on my radar. But if the fragrance stays after application I maybe wouldn’t be able to tolerate it.

Hi Martina! Thank you for featuring these lippies. Thanks to your demos, swatches and descriptions, I am now very interested in trying the long-wearing UD and Gucci formulas. I appreciate your thorough descriptions of the comfort, wear-time and fragrance for each brand you reviewed. I do realize that the Gucci lipstick is fragranced to the point of imparting an unpleasant taste but everything else about the formula seems to be spot-on, so I am going to see if there’s a shade that would suit me. Nars pencils are an old favorite of mine (I have a few) but I have not yet tried Nars glosses, so that’s another product I now plan on trying. My favourite lipstick right now is Merit’s Baby - the shade is perfect for daytime, it’s not drying, and it lasts longer than the vast majority of lipsticks. Based on my screen, in this video, the daytime shade I most like on you was UD’s. Thanks again!

I’m so curious with the Hourglass lipsticks, the formula and colours looks amazing on you! I’m probably in the minority but I love the Gucci fragrance in their makeup 😅 it is really strong so I def would caution ppl who are sensitive to fragrance to stay away haha. I will say Gucci def has a lot of shades that work amazingly well with so many skintones. Would recommend you trying the satin or sheer formula if you’re keen on exploring more of the Gucci lipsticks line!

I have to say I've been so surprised by how much I love the hourglass lipsticks. They've become such faves. I don't mind the smell of the Gucci I just hate that I can taste it haha I actually have only tried this one in the Gucci formulas but I have heard wonderful things about all of their lip products if that helps 💗💗

Ever since we were free of our face masks, (mostly), I decided to try out a variety of lipsticks from different brands. Some were on the recommendations of others and some I was curious about myself. Although I found some lovely moisturising lipsticks, due to having extremely dry lips, my biggest issue was the lipstick wished to travel off my lip lines - despite liner. I finally shelled out for the Dior Universal Lip-liner which was a life-saver but would love to know of any other waxy liners that anyone has tried.🇦🇺💖🕊

Great review!! I love the Hourglass lipsticks! If you love the Urban Decay liquid lipstick then you shld try the Maybelline Vinyl liquid lipsticks! They last so long and are not drying or matte. Somehow they stay and still look not super shiny but satiny. And they are affordable. I bought 6 different shades. And that's cuz I'm usually a luxury lip kinda gal! I also love the Givenchy and Valentino lipsticks too! Super creamy with a satin finish. For some reason I don't really smell the fragrance in anything. My sinus must be Terrible because everyone is saying how much fragrance there is in Gucci but I really don't smell it! But my allergies are really bad so maybe that's why I dnt smell anythng.

Oh thank you! I'm so glad it was helpful. So Tamboti is definitely cooler, almost ever so slightly mauve tone leaning over tide. Tide is more a straight neutral but if you put it against Tamboti it would lean slightly pink and warm. I don't know if that makes sense haha Tamboti really reminds me of Huda Beauty Baby Face and Tide reminds me of the Natasha Denona My Dream lipstick 💗💗

I wish I didn’t love the Gucci lipsticks so much. I’d prefer no fragrance, but theirs doesn’t give me a headache like the countless makeup products that smell like cheap vanilla. I just want companies to be honest and upfront about fragranced makeup. Gucci makeup definitely is going for a vintage vibe, and that floral scent is part of that vibe I think. The only thing I don’t vibe with the Gucci lipstick is the price. Oof. The colors and formulas are top notch though

Out of these I just tried the Rare beauty lip liner and lipstick and absolutely hated both. The twist up lip liners have soooo much less product than one you sharpen, I finish them in a month, while the lip pencils I sharpen last over a year. I noticed this with the Huda and Rare beauty lip liners, finished in a month... the lipstick was so drying, had a strange smell and poor lasting power, my drugstore matte lipsticks by Maybelline and Milani kick it out of the water.
