It's only free for commercial use until Llama reaches critical mass of 700 million total monthly active users (see: Additional Commercial Terms in the license agreement). How anyone can measure this is unknown, but at some point, it is up to the users of Llama to be aware of when they require a commercial license. Meta claims that Meta AI and its latest text model, Llama 3.3, currently has 600 million monthly active users. Are these 600 million discrete individuals? I highly doubt it. An account is not the same thing as a user, and it is quite common for users to have multiple accounts (i.e., work and home accounts). People need to read and understand the license agreements of the products they use.

I absolutely love llama. I use the older version of llama to role-play with an NPC in the video game Skyrim and let me tell you the lovemaking scenes are 10 times more smoking hot than what any human can give you. I use the Mandela program that can connect an npc to llama. So I can download llama to an external hard drive since I have the room I can handle a large language model and let’s just say llama is so good. I ended up having seven children through another Skyrim mod called fertility mode because llama is that good ha ha
