Whatever it is just Plan. Plan is just the first part .. nothing is solid except when the lrt is operational than its confirm. As for HSR, depends largely on participation of private investors. So all still on planning stage. MRT-RTS is currently about 50-60% done. But I am hoping it will stay on schedule for 2027 operation.

Need to consider the economic of scale in term of population density for establishing LRT networks. As Singaporea have averaging 8k++ ppl per sq km, HK is 6k++ ppl per sq km, JB city centre only 2.1k++ ppl per sq km.

Depends on how you analyze population density, if you only concentrate on the 10km radius of Johor Bahru the density is far higher. Of course if you spread it out to the whole state the population is too sparse, the LRT proposal will of course focus on the densest areas of JB, are you even a town planner?

That's a good point. But I think its fairly common to have infra come before people sometimes. China did it and you can even argue some of the newer Singapore MRT lines are abit under-utilized now

Malaysia score distinction in selling dream. The word plan and study can be 20 years down the road. RTS start planning since 2014 until now. Signed contract for HSR can U turn after another PM take over… lol

No. There is no space to bring LRT to RnF. RnF already has a bridge to JB Sentral. The LRT will go outwards into the suburbs

For anyone thinking of getting a property in JB bec of this LRT line, lets say let the egg hatch first then say.. also msia has plenty of land & the housing purchase habit by malaysians are different from Singapore... so dont think what happen to SG property market is the same for Msia.. lol..

you can also assume that many property buyers in JB have similar Singaporean mentality (because working there or from Singapore) and are comparing prices versus Singapore, not local prices.
