This is eggcellent, thank you for cheering up a wet Tuesday! 🤣Seriously, it is so quick and easy to poach eggs that I don’t know why anyone would buy them, and then still have to microwave them. As for £2 for two, that is £6 for half a dozen eggs - are they from that goose that laid the golden eggs? The world has gone mad - mad, I tell you, maaad!!!

Yes, any time there’s a product like this it’s usually designed for people who are less abled. Stuff like chopped onions or peeled potatoes and so on... they’re really good for people who would struggle otherwise. Good on Marks! Have you tried their breakfasts? They do a veggie and meat version with a poached egg, beans, etc. Very tasty, surprisingly good!

Of all the foods I eat, eggs are my absolute favourite, and I eat a boiled egg every day with crispy thickly buttered toast as part of my breakfast. I've perfected the process, for an egg with an almost set sticky yolk with a touch of runniness. Boil for 7 minutes precisely, then plunge the eggs into an ice bath to stop the cooking process. Absolutely delicious! 😋 £2 for two eggs? Daylight bloody robbery! 😲 ... Eggs have rocketed in price. I used to pay around a pound for 15 at Farmfoods, and now £2.69 for 12 at Aldi.

Thank you so much! I was stuck at lunchtime for something healthy and nutricious to eat so I did my own 2 poached eggs on toasted wholemeal bread. Tasty and I think that's good for 60p including the bread and butter. 👍 Magic.
@briboy20096 ай бұрын
I would not say those yolks were runny in the true sense. They looked hard-boiled to me. And as you say Gazzer, they are the height of laziness and M&S is cashing in on it.

I cannot believe what you can find in the UK 🇬🇧! We have nothing like this in the US! I think I would like my eggs on crumpets, which are similar to English muffins in the US. Eggs here in the US, at least in New York State, are expensive! I like organic free range eggs, although I am put off eggs by the smell at times. Microwave eggs in a glass container, maybe sausage and cheese, something similar to fast food breakfast, but at home! Thinking about it, I just might try doing this myself! Although I should try making a quiche; relatively simple to make, just buy ready made crust in the refrigerated or freezer section, then poor mixture into the pastry pie, then bake until done!

I don't get to M&S (housebound) so I won't be trying these (and couldn't afford them on a regular basis at around the same price as I'd pay for a box of 6 free range eggs) but if I could, I'd be tempted to treat myself.
