Keep going the only way you learn is by hearing. A Lot of what you say most never heard before or was never listened to or known by most. I try to teach my 15yr old who has never heard or Hitler LOL. Great education considering both my parent survived the bombing if England over and over and was worried about U Boats coming to Canada. But watching the USA going through this is crazy.

Rachel, I really like your show and have been listening to it for about three years. However, I wish that you or someone else at MSNBC would investigate Jordan Peterson's ties to neo-Nazism. I understand that you've already got your hands full in the US with Trumpism and other far-right movements, but Peterson is major player in the culture wars and has been making pro-Nazi remarks for decades under the guise of warning about a resurgence of fascism and another Holocaust. I've tried everything to get Canadian media to report some of his pro-Hitler remarks to the public, but unlike in the US, Canadian journalists are reluctant to report on the rise of the far right. I've written a book on Peterson. I won't provide the title here, but you can look it up online. Thank you and I'll look for the Ultra podcast. Troy Parfitt.

That is nonsense. Hitler's racism (antisemitism) began when he lived in Vienna and was based on the rantings of Karl Lueger, the then mayor of Vienna and other agitators. I doubt if he knew more about America at the time than that it lies on the other end of the ocean. And American racism has been developed completely independent with no interaction between Hitler and the US whatsoever. Please do take the effort and try and read a good book about the topic. The fact that there were so many American fascists/Nazis (as there were in any European country except Ireland prior to WW2) is mainly to be explained by Germans being the biggest group of immigrants in the US. In fact, the US in 1914 wasn't sure whether it should intervene in WW1 and if so, on which side - it wasn't at all sure that they would intervene on the Allied side, you know. As said, try and read a book about the topic before you start spouting nonsense.

How about that republican activist who was crying on tv that somebody went and voted in the name of his dead wife? Oh wait, he did that himself. Or about any other one of the 250 republicans caught cheating and what was that guy in N-Carolina or somewhere there dat got caught and sentenced for ballot harvesting? Oh right, that was also a republican. But sure, because one Democrat does it - that's immediately on equal footing with the much bigger fraud numbers on the gop side, right? One anecdotal incident on the other side makes all of the many cases on your own side all ok.

The text is very interesting, as is usually the case with Rachel Maddow. But the music (mood music really) is telling the listener how to respond/react to the story. The mood music is manipulating the listener into allowing emotional response to override a rational consideration of the narrative. Whereas this may be a well written, well researched, well fact checked story, the mood music makes it propaganda. Just like all the propaganda coming from the extreme right of the political spectrum. C'mon, Rachel, and rise above this abuse, please.
